OH GOLY! I haven't even ordered my extra monitor yet, don't even get me started on speakers! LOLOLOLOL
I'm running M-Audio BX8a's and a BX10s through a XiFi Fatal1ty, shit is insane.

I am using a 30" gateway monitor and a 52" 1080P Lcd monitor as the secondary. It really helps productivity.
If you're wanting big, LCD Tv's can be purchased for cheap... just make sure to get one with 1080p.
If you're wanting high res, get a 30" monitor... Most brands at that size are fairly good.
That's a really good price, might as well get 2. Just make sure it's the HC version.
Have any pictures of this setup? Sounds insane, especially with that Ultrasharp.
What is the difference between the HC and non HC version?
Got a picture of that setup? How far away are you sitting from your computer?
^ You do realize that the resolution is 1920 x 1080 not 1920 x 1200. That would drive me nuts, but to each his own.

i'm not sure what you mean here. there is no way this could be helping productivity per se. Against any setup task-wise a single 24" monitor will win the majority of the time.
if you want to go full speed productivity wise, then two 24" monitors would be your best bet.
i used to have a setup with a 42" and a 30" a programmer friend of mine slapped the shit out of me and opened my eyes.

Didn't feel like looking up the specs, is the 2408 any different from the 2407?
And yeah, if you don't mind dropping 2 g's and your desk is big enough, go for the 3008. The only reason I didn't get it is it's so big that my speakers wouldn't fit next to it.
I would go with 4 2408s and a monitor tree. Pick them up on sale through dell. Check prices on the Dell Home site then check prices on the Dell Business site. They are frequently NOT the same.
3007WFP-HC on the dell outlet site for $750, certified refurbished. I think I might get that one.
