It was for a niche health problem that i unfortunately had. I became a bit of a leader in my field, i guess you could say. As i slowly recovered, i wanted less and less to do with my problem , so i let my domain expire.

I'm now wanting to start a new blog. And my question is to you guys.. What is the best free blog template for me to use. I plan to give new info to my old audience ( still have a databse of emails etc). I also plan to have a secondary online health store selling selct products for the problem. I'm wondering if buidling a blog and filtering the traffic towards the secondary shop is the way to go. Any ideas for other ways to monetise my blog etc? Is there potential to make a dollar and help my audince at the same time. I dont want to alienate my readers by any means, as this problem is a rough one to deal with.. Any help is welcomed. Thank you..

yeah It was roughly 100 per day i guess. But when you cisider every one of these guys. needs to spend dollars. I reckon I spent 5k on products over 1 year..

Yeah ok, I guess my point is It's a very small niche field. But the people with the problem A) Need valuable info, as doctors dont know so much about this problem yet (It's changing quickly though, some doctors figuring out)
b) They Need to purchse a lot of products to aid in the recovery...
I dont aim to be a popular blog, Thats not what this is aimed at. I aim to sevice my niche target audience needs.

My question to you, how is the best means to do this and make a profit.

OK. Thanks Phillip. Is Tumblr a good platform. Is it true you can use affiliate links on this platform. Do you think Wordpress will best support my needs?

I think Wordpress will be able to do everything you want, and is easy to use once you are used to it. Why do you want to use a blogging platform instead of setting up your own site?

I just want a site that wont cost me thousands to make as I'm not at all techy. I have a marketing degree, so that side of things i'm comfortable with.

I jsut wanted something in which i can produce information without too much hassle. I want to get my regular reader base back before i start selling products. My audience have been suffering, and i know the suffering all to well. So the last thing i want to do is have a shop pushing products in their faces straight off the bat. It just seemed the best way in my mind to do things. Start a blog, service my readers, then eventually suggest good products that can benefit my readers...

I guess you could do it that way, as it seems your primary goal is to help people. Most people on here are primarily about the $ (myself included).

I would recommend you start a thread in the newbie section before you get flamed in this one.

Ok. Of course i aim to earn a buck, but servicing my clients is mpst important. The rest will follow IMO. Thanks for your help Philip. I have posted on the Newbie forum..

No Don't use a free platform.
