Need your suggestions - I'm buying a new convertible

I swear AT bmws, when I'm tooling around beantown. Is that you I see doing those 5-lane-change car passes on 128?
Now why would you buy a nice convertible and then take it out in the snow? Why not lease a tolerable beater as well that you just drive more in the winter? That way you can keep the miles down enough to satisfy the lease agreement, write of the lease payments and keep your main ride cherry. Nothing like coming out of a grocery store and seeing a shopping cart leaning up against your expensive ride.
I had a black little del sol, in 2001 BC (before children). I loved that little thing, but man I kept having Mac trucks try to run me over. (they could never see me coming) ONe of them tore it up pretty bad and would have killed me (in a slow wide turn) if I hadn't laid on my horn and the driver finally heard me (cause he never did see me!)
Needless to say, I now have a severe phobia of 18 wheelers.

Not trying to hyjack this thread, but I had an undeveloped domain on the topic of convertibles ( Ragtop’s Roadrage and Automotive Advice ) and this thread inspired me to to move it to the top of the list and write some content for it to get it up for spring car shopping season.
