Where are the "if building xrumer links to your money site would sandbox you, then you could easily take down your competitors" people?

^^, this does happen and does work. Im not saying its just xrumer alone ( although it can ), but I have seen this personally done many times with blog comments and xrumer links and seen people get knocked out the top 5 pages of serps.

It's pretty common knowledge too many links too fast can send your site into the "sandbox". I think you're confusing yourself with the people who say "if building xrumer links to your money site would HURT you, then you could easily take down your competitors".

Sandbox does not = taking down your competitor. Maybe temporarily. I'm not saying negative SEO doesn't exist I"m just saying you got your shit twisted on this one.

I have to say, I somewhat agree and disagree with you. Sandboxing can = taking down a competitor, in some stances. I have a client right now that feeds him and his family on advertising on his site and if was to lose his rankings ( which has happened a few times ) for anymore then 30-45 days he would be out of business. Anyone that would/could sandbox this guy with multiple web2.0 spam links would have his ass in sling and even though his site might be back in 90-120 days, he would be out.

Ive also seen sites bounce back, but bounce back 10-20 spots below their original rank, which could also put someone out of business.

For someone with a solid business or someone doing lots of niche sites though, your right on.

if some one would threaten my site with negative seo, i would get a tool like whorush.com, or the premium service at domaintools.com, reverse engineer and find ALL of that persons site, and i would tell him if you mess up one of my sites i am going mess up all of yours (and provide him with the list). also when you reverse engineer you can end up getting there adsense id, and well everyone knows its not difficult to get adsense banned.

the noobiest thing you can do is actually tell someone i'm going to link bomb you from bad neighbourhood site, because then when ur rankings tank you know who to blme, and then sine ur already messed up, you have nohing to lose so you go out of ur way to do it back to them.

even if it's a bluff, never ever tell someone ur going to neg seo or linkbomb their sites.. i've never done it myself but if u were going to do it, do it in the sly.

i know scrapebox has been very badly hit in panda.. get one of these clown's auto approve scrapebox list from bst, and subit them all in one day, garanteed destruction

Negative seo is not done by blasting links.

If you wanna nuke someone, build a foot print.
Make them a big fat, barely spun interlinked footprint and then ping the hell out of it.

Mess with their anchor credibility by wacking them with exactly one term 1000s of times.

Set your scraper to grab their content minutes after they publish it, then duplicate it all over the damn place + ping google to check your sites out first.
DMCA them or claim email spam.

Email them about buying links for a different but related term. - Point it towards something that looks legit initially. Then turn the page into crap fest of malware and penis pill links so they get penalized for linking to you.

Buy them crap traffic or a bouncybot package.
