New design for my friend's photography site...

The numbers under the photos are not of much use in my opinion. They don't mean anything to the user. Clicking a number brings me to a random photo. I would replace them with 2 simple buttons (left - right; or start - end).

Very nice site overall.
 


Some great pics in there, I see some familiar places (and faces) there too :)

The horizontal scrolling isn't a big deal, but I don't like how each button on the control corresponds to 1 picture. So basically if the first 4 pictures being shown at a time, I have to click button #5 to see the next picture etc.

I think it would be better to have full paging. So if 4 pics are being displayed, you just need to click the next button to see the next set of 4 pics.
