its a bit poppy but if you pay attention to his verses its pretty rewarding and grows well. best album since the big 3.
I've been listening to this all day and have done no work today because I've been reading reactions to it all day as well. I love it lots. I really liked several tracks from both Encore and Relapse, but this is the first album since The Eminem Show that I like every single track. But I really am a sucker for Marshall Mathers being all angsty and vulnerable. It's his best look 
Definitely his best since his early days. Listen through it 2 times before you decide, I've gone through it probably 10 times now and I'm fuckin' loving every one of them.
maybe its partially because he comes after lil wayne, which makes anyone sound better, but the verse on no love is so sick it might be in his top 5 verses ever.

I just listened to it I think it's pretty damn good. I liked Relapse as well but I thought there was too much serial killer shit and the song about getting molested by his stepfather was a desperate attempt at shock value. This album seems much more like he's expressing himself normally.
He kills almost all the verses, even when the beats are a little weak you wait for the vocals to come in and it's like "DAMN", Em saves the track.

His whole song about him never forgetting Proof is wow. I forget the name of it.
Surprised me, I actually think it's pretty good - miles better than his last two at least. Still not the old 'em obv but you can't expect that.

first post, i had to since this was the first page i clicked on for a forum about this album, plus that guy talking s#it, eminem is almost forty, he's not going back to the old em, he's not the same person, dude c'mon people are talkin stupid stuff for trying to compare it to his old stuff.. okay i'm 21 now, i was 9-10 when his first big album came (not infinite) out the first time i heard him..but am i ever going to have the same mentality as i did back then? .no.eminem is killing everybody right now, he did what like 4 songs with people on the top of their shit and kills all of them, he talks shit about everyone and gets away with it, because they know if they say shit hes going to rip them a new one.. even on relapse 2 he was talking shit.. people hate on em, because he gets emotional (eminem is the only big person who speaks from the heart right now) or because he was on drugs during most of his shit "relapse was the first time i'd been sober in the studio in 8 years".. but why don't you listen to the words? there are some questionable beats... but no one can kill them like em.. no one.. and most of the beats arent even his so called "style" from the old eminem stand point.. but no one can touch him right now in hiphop/rap, you wanna talk all that teddybear kisses crap okay fine, but in this cd strictly either from the heart songs, songs about how he's killing everyone and he's not getting touched in the rap game, and of course his crazy stuff, no one can touch him.. you guys can say what you want cause i probably wont look at this again.. he says what he wants, kills everone when he does it and idmits whens his past albums sucks.. just because you like slow ass shit about gucci bags and gettin bitches (that you don't get) and cant comprehend his metaphores of lyrics doesn't mean you cant read along with the songs like ur watching barney bitch, the video is number 2 for a reason dude. the king is back, and you better get used to it.. unless he gets hooked on methadone again... then ill eat my words
