NEW Facebook Ads

lol facebook lol. My ad was as Disney as it could get. Then I get hit with this:
Hi,

Facebook will not tolerate behavior that users may find annoying or abusive, or that violates our Terms of Use or Advertising Guidelines. You have used the account associated with 'xxxxxxxxx@gmail.com' to submit ads that are explicitly prohibited by our ad policies. As a result, your account has been permanently disabled.

We will not be able to reactivate your account, nor will you be able to recover any content within the account. You will also not be permitted to create a new account to restart your Facebook advertising. This decision is final.

Thank you for your understanding,

The Facebook Ads Team

How do you get an offer for a different country to work.

I have an offer for the UK. I am in the US. Theaffiliate link only works with a UK proxy. So, only people in the UK can see it.

FB disaproved my ad because the link didnt work. It does work in the UK, it doesnt work in the US. And yes, I am only targeting UK in the demos

the best way to do it is by following this post and redirecting US traffic to the clean URL (if you can get affiliate link for the american version of the offer, then great) http://www.brandonadcock.com/monetizing-international-traffic/

You could always setup a PHP redirect, originally linking to the clean URL, then after they approve it, switching your affiliate link in. The only problem I could see is if your link redirects to something adult/totally un-relevant.... and Facebook comes back to check your ads or whatever the fuck they do. Might get fucked doing that though.

With the geo-ip script, you can just redirect based on country, and get it right the first time.

Link doesn't work.

I'd like to get that Geo script myself as it's just not practical to make a new campaign for every round of ads I want to make and have to redirect those until they're approved.

hmmm... I think maybe his domain isnt resolving for you because of that DNS change from a couple months ago. ALl my sites werent loading for my friend, but they were loading for me and lots of other people. Just throwin that out there for people who are paying for traffic... have your host make sure the A-names (i think) are correct so the DNS works for everybody.

Ayyways, download the script.

<?php
// ccr.php - country code redirect
require_once(’/geo/geoplugin.class.php’);
$geoplugin = new geoPlugin();
$geoplugin->locate();
$country_code = $geoplugin->countryCode;
switch($country_code) {
case ‘US’:
header(’Location: 404 - Not Found
exit;
case ‘CA’:
header(’Location: 404 - Not Found
exit;
case ‘GB’:

Do they allow to promote ANY kind of downloadable products now or is it al banned?
First they said I can't mention 'Facebook' in my ad, second time - URL doesn't work. When I changed it again 5 minutes later ads were disapproved again and this time it's final:

* The content advertised by this ad is restricted per section 5 of Facebook's Advertising Guidelines. Restricted content includes, but is not limited to:

1. Downloadable products that may affect the user's computer or browser performance in unexpected or undesirable ways;
2...3...

Could you elaborate on this? What niche was the ad in? How many times did you resubmit, and did you use mass submission tools like ad manager? Thanks mang.

Except I'm not interested in running some random ad that gets accounts disabled - in fact I'm just curious because of the opposite; what not to run.

Volk launched his shitty Facebook ebook the other day, and in the sales video he says, verbatim: "They LOVE affiliates". LOL. Almost spilled my coffee. Expect another surge of shitty newbies on the platform now that both Volk and that other guy are putting out their ebooks.

lolz... I saw that too. his blog is devoid of any useful information whatsoever, so Im thinking the ebook will be no dofferent.

Yeah if it's a browser based mmorpg that requires reg and no download then it normally get's approved. I haven't had an issue with that so far.

Additionally reg requires a privacy policy on the LP.

I was wondering when his "They LOVE Affiliates" line would get some love here at WF.

If you're bidding correctly impressions shouldn't take more then 5 minutes to start.
