NEW Facebook Ads

It appears the Facebook ads system requires improvements

Also Facebook is not answering any-one who report (as usual). Is this where every-one is getting stuck?

I tried doing stuff in Firefox - the image uploading worked a lot better. Most of the problems occur when I use Chrome.

I know there are a lot of bugs going on in FB ad creation recently, but I am pissed about this -- I lowered some max bids last night around 10pm. Now, 15 hours later - I'm still getting clicks higher than my new bids (lower than my old bids...) I've changed bids by a penny or two to see if that would make the new bids "stick", but I'm still getting charged above my max bid. This sux! I don't want to pause the ads, but I shouldn't be charged more than my max bid (at least not 15 hours after I lowered the bids). Anyone ever experience this??? Any idea how to "fix" it??? Thx.......

Exact same thing is happening to me. I realized I'm being charged 1.5x my max bid this afternoon...gg.

Anyone else getting really poor CTRs today? My ads that normally get consistent .2-.3 CTRs are getting about 1/3 of that right now.

This is because.. facebook need to earn by ads. thy moved the suggest to friends button to promote the page..

so facebook is too brainy now.. so the only way to make fans or make your page popular is by ads..
No other way.

What's the easiest way to get the cheapest clicks? Is it the younger demographic that has cheaper ones or what are the factors? I'm talking for US traffic as well, not international.

a CPM ad with a huge CTR. getting there is not always easy since you need to test your targeting, images, body copy, and everything else. Also, cheap clicks are not what you really want; you want that balance between roi+volume.

Yes I understand that. I just wasn't sure if a younger demographic (14-20) would have overall cheaper clicks than a older demo (18-29).

Younger demos are generally cheaper. Go into the ad editor and increase your age targeting by a couple of years each time and you'll see the suggested bid go up as demographics get older.

You shouldn't just be aiming for cheap clicks on younger demos though, since your CTR and conversion rate will vary for different demos. Sometimes a demo with a $2 suggested bid will end up producing cheaper clicks and better ROI than one with $1 suggested bids since it has a higher CTR (cheaper clicks) and CVR (better EPCs).

Test and see.

Great insight, I got an ad with a CTR of .137% targeted to US CPC is .32 at the moment and suggest bid is .30-.50 will the price of these clicks drop as I pay for more?

not necessarily dre.... for a .137 it might get down to around 26 or so but that price seems about leveled out for US traffic at that CTR in my experience.

Is True Christian Singles not allowed on facebook? I got rejected for the reason: "The content promoted in this ad is not permitted on Facebook. We reserve the right to choose the advertisements that appear on the site, and ads for this product or service should not be resubmitted. Please visit our Help Centre for more specific information."

However, my ad was pretty offensive (it got denied from plentyoffish for being too offensive) so that could easily be the reason?
