I don't how but I had to bid nearly double my suggested cpc/cpm bids to get impressions. I had to pause all my shit when I had to leave the pc because I couldn't trust having a good ROI with those high bids.
Yep - had to bid 100% higher to trigger impressions. I love this artificial bid floor Facebook comes up with every week.
Once you drop the max.CPC on a campaign how long does it take to reflect and actually start only-accepting clicks at that price. They mention 15-minutes to take effect, but is that 15-minutes until your FB manager shows the changes, or 15-minutes until FB even changes the CPC.
Example: Max.CPC set @ $0.75
800,000 impressions come in 2 minutes and you just spent 150$
Change Max.CPC to $0.20

^^ I think they launch your ad at a certain imp/cpc. So for example, some of those outstanding impressions might already be set to $0.75 cpc whereas the new impressions are at your new cpc of $0.20. Therefore even after you change your bids, it'll take some time for your avg. cpc to go down. I'm not sure if this is right but it seems logical.
So based on your response and trends I have been seeing when running these campaigns on FB. They Launch my campaign at a set avg.CPC for X amount of impressions. Than shuffle to other live campaigns from other users? I just keep noticing that it'll spit out 30,000 impressions in a few minutes and than turn-off for a while. Than suddenly spit them out again. Is this the nature of FB campaigns or should I be adjusting my strategy to get a smooth stream of impressions?
I think they give you an initial burst to determine your ctr. Then the ctr determines future impressions.
This also seems true, but these are for campaigns that have been approved and running with a decent budget for a few days now. I will basically see about 30,000 impressions in 15 minutes, than 0 impressions for 30 min, back to 30k for 15min, etc etc. This is all verified through my affiliate's live stats and prosper 202.
I fucking miss the days when UK recommended bids were under 20 cents. It's completely ridiculous that they're that high above the USA now.
On a similar note, are ads back on people's accounts yet?
My ad spend is around 1/4 of what I'd like it to be for today, but I don't know if it's just that my CTR is too shitty or if the ads just aren't showing up.

A lot can depend on your daily budgets too. Just keep testing things, it'll work out eventually.
