NEW Facebook Ads

It's obvious he was banned for the email submits. Sure, you can submit them and Facebook strangely approves them easily. They sometimes blindly approve things that are against their guidelines, only to look at them closer later and disapprove them.

Email submits are against their guidelines. Section 2.f states:

This is also why you cannot build opt-in lists on Facebook, no matter how clean and innocent you make them.

it was more of the dating ads that got me killed. apparently they found it abusive.

I have tried and tried and tried to direct link to CPA offers and haven't been able to get it to work at all. Between getting ads approved and trying to get good CTR's consistently on new ads, I got frustrated as fuck from spending so much time in front of the computer.

So I stopped direct linking to CPA offers and found out I can actually pull an ROI from FB now. I'm sure you could get direct linking to work if you have mad work-discipline though, but I didn't get into this business so I could work 12 hours per day.

Free Front-End Offer --> Optin --> Personal Attention --> Pitch

dude, whats with the crazy frame action on your 'letter' site? And 'Untitled Document' for lander name? And 'collum' is column. And the whole navigation is way fucked up. And 'menues' is menus. The color scheme, the pedo photo, the maze to get to any opt-in, sales page, content? etc.

Excuse my ignorance, but I've never heard of this 'Alpha Shitweasel' (wtf?). Clearly I am missing the joke here. The Prince of Copyrighting with that shitty site full of misspellings? Please fill me in on what I am missing, all the retard gurus seem to have him enrolled on their Golden Ticket Namedropping List.

ps. your name is Garrett, figured it may just be you!

Gary Halbert was the worlds best copywriter and ad-man, who only just died back in 07. His site kinda sucks (from a web design perspective), but it's the words on it that matter.

Oh, and misspellings don't fuckin' matter. Never did and never will. I would love to see an english teacher try and write some copy lol.

Kudos to that, he started decades before internet marketing became the rage, so I guess his strength in direct marketing never translated on his own site, but I am sure others like Perry Marshall took his nuggets of gold and banked.

Misspellings actually do matter, depending on context. ie, they can work in your favour on a flog, but they'll kill your image building billboard that is trying to convey professionalism and attention to detail.

here's an example:

Lol... their is way more wrong than just the misspellings there.

'Professional & Sharp Logos. No Compromise On Quality.' FTW!

We could go on for pages about whats wrong there, but one of my fave features is the calendar on the right. Which links to nothing and does not even show todays date. Just lets you know we're in August. Just in case you weren't sure. Then there is the About Us page were half the text is truncated out... And then there is the awesome 'flames' header. Gets my pussy flowing like herpes. Anyway, I'm drunk and laughing at idiots is all too easy. Go make some ads.

Has anybody ever seen this before? I kept trying to log in and this kept appearing. I logged in using a different account and i logged in just fine. WTF?

How come my old,low-bid,shitty-CTR ads get tons of impressions - but new ones don't?

I would love for someone to explain this to me;

So in this one account, I have had a campaign going for a couple of months. It has a few ads in it that were started at 0.30 cpm and despite their low CTRs of .06 and .07, they're still producing hundreds of thousands of impressions a day, plenty of conversions and stable profits.

In theory it should then be easy to duplicate something that already works by scaling it with very similar ads to the same demographic. Not so with Facebook...

Here's the kicker:
- No matter how many new ads I create within the same campaign or in new campaigns (I've tried batches of 5 and batches of 50)
- No matter what I bid (0.20, 0.30, 0.50, 0.70, 0.90...1,2),
- No matter the budget settings
- No matter what CTR I achieve (steady 0.15, 0.20++ on many)

...it doesn't matter. Any new ads I build to scale the old ones just turn out duds. And with duds I mean that they end up getting maybe 5k or 20k impressions daily - a fraction of what my old ads with crap CTRs and lower bids get!

This has me wondering; does Facebook periodically "reward" ads that have spent a certain amount of money over time with more impressions?

It really looks like they flag certain ads and dedicate plenty of traffic to them for some reason - regardless of that their CTRs are crap and my bids are way low on them.

I could understand this if there was a logical explanation like increase in bid prices in the niche, or increased competition. But...then my old ads should have died along with that.

It doesn't make any sense.

I don't think Facebook is intelligent enough to implement that (even if it's a dumb idea, I don't think they're smart enough to code it if they wanted to). I think Facebook is just a screwed up platform that is never consistent and never makes any sense.

Have you ever tried contacting Facebook with your questions? If yes, what do they say? I recently starting up advertising on Facebook again after about a month break, and I'm having the same problem as you with being unable to get impressions.

I was happy and peaceful for the month that I was away from Facebook advertising. Now I'm frustrated and angry all the time and I fear I might smash my computer soon.

Just a note, I pause ads and lower bids all the time, then resume and up.
They go slow for 10 minutes then pick right back up to lots of traffic.

<3 facebook

Dude.. I can assure you that Facebook is NOT retarded. They just aren't jiving with the toilet of online advertising (they were retarded in getting into the space though).

They're just holding out until small businesses learn how to use it. In the meantime, try not doing what everybody else is doing. It may come as a shock to you, but there is a whole 'nother world outside shady CPA offers.
