NEW Facebook Ads

So a friend of mine showed me this screenshot of his today and asked me to post it wondering if anyone else had a similar experience.

He turned about $1k on this today. It was a random ad that he'd always kept running even though it rarely received traffic until today when it randomly went crazy.

did anybody actually benefit from this today?

The day was good for me. Nearing my $1k limit on all accounts, clicks were coming in strong even after I dropped bids to <.15, 50% click through, 18% conversion rate, all time record for this campaign. So yea, day finished off well.
500%+ ROI FTW!

Yeah I was seeing 5 to 6% CTRs until the system sort of went back to normal. Had much less traffic than usual probably because of the bids rocketing. Overall a pretty bad day for me.

Early morning things were slow, but now everything seems back to normal. CTR though is a bit on the low side, but hasn't affected click volume. Anyone else seeing lower than usual CTR?

^^^
Dude we don't fucking care if your CTR is a little higher or lower than usual. It's called natural variance. Learn what the fuck that word means and stop posting every time something small changes in your campaign.

CTR dropping 50-70% percent on all ads isn't natural variance to me. I like to make sure the problem is not just for me, because I make decisions based on that. Instead of waiting all day to figure out what to do next, I like to actually see if anyone else is having the same issues or not, that way I could make an educated decision quickly.

And sorry for my fucking frequent posts.

Buddy ctr dropping 50-70% isnt a "bit on the low side"

fuck. DURRRR

Then what is it? Also, it's not like I started running this campaign a few days back, I've been running this shit for months, and know all it's trends, and how it normally performs on each day. I saw a pretty big difference earlier today than before, so I fucking inquired about it here. Sorry if I fucking post too much about my shit, but I'm a strong believer of working together escalates results.

I would say 50-70% is a large drop in ctr.
Thats just my opinion.

For the record, I dont care how much you post, the other guy did.
I definitely passed my 5 word max per post with this one :(

Alright, that was my difference today and I believe that a 50-70% drop isn't "natural variance". Just trying to explain that to the other dude.

cardine was spot on.. it IS natural variance whether you like it or not. I've never relied on a set of creatives for more than a couple weeks (rarely does a creative last more than that for me) because you can always "refresh" your idea with something new. instead of whining about your dying campaign here on WF, why don't you get your ass to work submitting new ad varations?

Reason why I asked was so I could get some feedback. If people had responded that their ctr's are normal, within a reasonable percent deviation, then I would have worked my ass of on creating new ad variations. If people reported having problems also, then I would have waited it out, and see if anything changes. I was just trying to be more efficient with my time. Sorry if I act like a bitch.

tbh, that's just a dumb way of running a campaign (especially on FB) there are shit loads of variables that effect your CTR and it has nothing to do with other people's campaigns (everyone is running different verticals, different competition, different demographics, etc) - just worry about your own shit, keep it to yourself, and get back to work pls

Just that a perfect example was that early yesterday morning, clicks were very backlogged, and all my ads had a 0.01% ctr. If I hadn't checked facebook, I could easily made the assumption that my ads are shit, delete the ads, and throw up new ones. Would have been a shitty move. Just trying to use the effectiveness of the thread.

QFT - I can testify that what is happening in my account is probably not happening in your account. There are so many variables that there is no way to get an answer that might actually help you.

--- Noob Question ----

I can track my CTR and CPC via Facebook. How do I track my conversions? Does it happen on the affiliate network end, or do I use Prosper202 to track conversions.

I have multiple ad variations going to the same offer, using the same url. How do I track which ones convert and which don't?

I got Prosper202 setup, but that just track my ads' stats.
