I don't know that it's 100% racially motivated, but the selection of the targets could lead one to think that. I'd say this is more of a socio-economic issue, and in the same way you confuse it with race, so do the attackers.

Nothing to confuse here. It's called 'Polar Bear Hunting' other places. It is clearly and only racially motivated. Of course this happens with other races, I remember losers from my own white youth doing the same. Had nothing to do with poverty though, but psycopathy. Why are blacks poor? Why are blacks so agressive? 85% of intelligence is considered hereditary (Heritability of IQ - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). Agressiveness and sociopathy are also thought to be genetic (Genetics of aggression - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). Black people are showing themselves every single day on all continents under all circumstances, from Brazil to London, to significantly and constantly underperform other races. Do you know how the teachers in your grade school would say 'that kid only understands consequence' and it wasn't the most brightest kid? Connect the dots bro. Making lesser demands of less intelligent kids have been long known to hurt them in school. Smart kids can learn on their own, they can use freedom wisely. Stupid kids can't and benefit from firm rules. It's the same on an overall level in society.

The thing that really makes me dislike apologists/leftists/liberals are that they seem to lack real compassion and real emotion when faced with real cruelty. I think every normal human being feels extreme and justified rage, anger and sorrow when seeing those innocent people get killed, beaten and maimed by packs of obvious sociopaths with no reason to do the horrendous crimes they do. Imagine how you'd feel if this was a family member? Can you imagine the feelings of being told your father/brother/son was killed in a senseless, racially motivated killing by these scum? And yet, the liberal seems to be more strongly influenced by his desire to be morally superior. It makes you really question if liberals lack the strong feelings of real empathy and compassion.

I think that your politics/media give this "game" so much public attention specially to provoke more of such incidents, and I'm pretty much sure they succeeded in this. There's a tension in society, very rich ones become richer, other become poorer. So ex-middle class who fall down the social ladder with these developments need to have a threat, to switch their attention from real problems to lower-level life-threatening everyday fear and hatred. And your society builds up this threat from even more poorer and uneducated ghetto-dwellers. This is a deliberately built and thoroughly controlled tension.
