Hey all, New here. actually new to the affiliate game in general.

I started a niche porn blog as an experiment about 3 months ago. Much to my surprise started to generate some revenue. I just cleared $700 profit this month pretty much by mistake. So now I am thinking there is serious money to be made if I expand a little bit and start to understand what the hell I am doing.

I have a couple of questions for the pro's out there, no trade secrets or anything and no DOOD HOW DO I MAKE $$$$$.

1) can anyone suggest to me simple tutorial for SEO?
2) can anyone suggest any decent PPC affilitate programs? (all my rev is commission based)

Thanks all

Do some reading on some of these blogs
Aojon I know there is so much information from the first 5 months about s.e.o thats its worth just printing that stuff and hanging it above your comp
Blue Hat Seo Another blog from a member from this website that is damn good
Dmarc blog decent blog with some info on pretty much everything from S.e.o to ppc
Shoemoney's Blog pretty decent guy with alot of information on everything

aaron wall One of the better resources on the web

Maybe someone else has better information but from what i have seen, you wont get the information advantage from just using one resource. Its a collection from all the above resources to really hit it big time with having the information advantage. Holla. :)

So what precautions do you have to take to setup porn websites? Are there any rules you have to follow to prevent underage people from viewing your stuff?

What about keeping records to make sure the pics or videos of people on your site are over 18?

I’m thinking about trying some adult stuff, but I’m not sure what steps I need to take to protect myself. I would like to clarify what the additional risks are with running an "Adult" site.:xomunch:

Thank you all

Just a quick thing, I am kind of sick of the misinfomation running around the web for adult sites. Specifically USC 2257 which I have seen people on this forum refer to.

It is true that the law was written to make "secondary" distruibuters (such as affiliates) keep records. What I havent seen is the fact that the US State District Court of Colorado seems to have a differing opinion. In FSC v Gonzales the Judge issued a preliminary restraining order against parts of USC 2257. Essentially striking down the "secondary producer" provision. In addition the 10th circuit court of appeals n Sundance Assoc., Inc. v. Reno rejected the prior regulation's distinction between primary and secondary producers and entirely exempted from the record-keeping requirements those who merely distribute or those whose activity "does not involve hiring, contracting for, managing, or otherwise arranging for the participation of the performers depicted.

The present political climate makes it unlikely that the federal goverment will challenge that ruling. So, my friends recordkeeping is a moot issue.

I wouldn't say a moot point but the chances of someone asking to see his 2257s are slim but it can happen.

(This happened about a week ago, I'm not going to name names because lawyers are involved and they are almost done sorting things out now)

A friend of mine runs a few very popular TGPs and hosts them with a very respectable adult hosting company. Someone reported some pictures he had on a few of his sites to his hosting company and told them they were child porn. The hosting company took his sites down within a few hours and sent him an email saying they wouldn't put his sites back up or release his domains (they were regged through the host) until he showed them the 2257s for that particular model.

He was not the content producer and his hosting company knew that but they still held everything hostage until he could come up with the 2257s which is not easy when you have to deal with big sponsers.

He eventually found the 2257s and gave them to his host and then the host put his sites back up, but he still had 2 or 3 days of downtime which cost him a few grand.

So keep in mind that even though you aren't the content producer someone may still ask you to see some 2257 records.

whew... that was probably my longest post in a while. :)
