New Imacs

Gotta find a mob that sells imacs here, average price of $2k for the crappiest one available is kind of messed up..

Maybe with the release of new iMacs, they get a bit cheaper here..

I just got a brand spankin' new 24" iMac- and after years on a 12" laptop, I couldn't imagine having an additional 3" of space. It's like working on the jumbotron already.

An intuitive mouse and a 27" monitor are the only changes I've read about.

No changes to the MB Pros, but MacBook is new. Apparently prices are dropping for iMacs and the Macbook

I'm interested in checking out the mouse, i was warned away from the mighty mouse because of the trackball

Just picked some up for me and employees last night... pure epicness. I've used every "generation" of iMac and this one is easily the best.

Well it comes with it? It does take some getting used to, tracks slow as shit is my main problem, but the scroll option in the middle of the mouse is great.

I bought it, over night shipping (too bad it took a week + to ship it out). Was so excited to use it, and NOTHING worked. Absolutely NOTHING on the touch sensor worked..

I ordered the 27" and upgraded everything to the max (except the RAM, just went with 8GB instead of 16). Got the expedited shipping since I was so pumped to get it, it's been almost a week and the damn thing hasn't even shipped out yet.

I got the old one and it gets the job done for simple data entry work. It seems to slow down over time...

I've been using the Mac Pro desktop for awhile - with 2 23"s. It gets the job done and I've had it for over 5 years now - it's a beast. I'll probably be buying a new one in a little bit just because it's finally starting to slow down.

double click hard drive icon on desktop > applications > utilities > disk utility > verify disk permissions....when that's done click the other button, repair disk permissions.

fast like newish.

Your Mac will never lose speed if you set an Automate script to run this disk verification/repair in the background every night at midnight, and allow it to not restart your computer. You'll know it's working itself when the fan speeds up to an audible level.

But I bought the Magic Mouse from an Apple Store a few hours from campus, and when i got it back, got it out of the packaging, and set it up, it worked like a complete effing charm. It's like having a trackpad right there, and a mouse right there, at the SAME TIME.

I threw my Logitech Laser into the "To Sell On eBay" box. Maybe some other poor soul not unable to shell out the $70 for this wonder will spend $20 on this old piece of crap.

Yep, exactly how I was with just my mouse, lol. They take so fucking long just to ship that shit out it's rediculous.
