Hey Guys,

I was wasting some time today and I saw this on a CNN video.

Aviary Screen Capture : Talon

This allows you to do a screen capture of the entire page and save to your desktop without pasting into a graphics program. There is also a Firefox extension that allows you to do the same without going to their website.

So far it seems pretty good. Enjoy

I use screengrab! for FireFox. You can save directly to your machine or copy for pasting into PhotoShop or whatever. It allows you to copy the whole page or just a selection. Pretty nice.

Screengrab!

Snagit is kickass too because it has a nice editor that it will kick your 'cap to.

For the OS X users:
command + shift + 3 allows you to grab the entire screen.
command + shift + 4 allows you to grab a section you choose.

each just saves on the desktop as an image.. so PS work.

This is actually more than a screen capture utility. Its more of a page capture since it copies the entire page, even the part you can't see on your screen. Not sure if the others listed do that as well.

Snagit does that as well (scrolling captures).

Snagit also works outside your browser.

For the OS X users:
command + shift + 3 allows you to grab the entire screen.
command + shift + 4 allows you to grab a section you choose.

each just saves on the desktop as an image.. so PS work.

Try CMD + CNTRL + SHIFT + 3 / 4

That combo will save it to your clip board rather than your desktop, really handy for quick stuff that is being shown over IM or something.

Also, after you hit those combo's, if you hover over the window you want to highlight and hit the space bar, it will grab just that window, exactly, for you.

I've been using the Pearl Cressent add-on for Firefox for a long time, great when you need a whole page, review here.

I love grabup as you can cut whatever part of the page out. it also allows you to grab a url to the image you just cut.

It is useful when something is fucking up on one of the platforms and I am trying to explain it to our account managers and they don't understand. I simply copy the part I want and then grab the url and ping it to them.
