And crappy thing is - since few decades we live in a world where most of those guys doing this shitty lying will walk away with promotions and rises.

9/11 conspiracy? Illuminati? We are talking just about Iraq... No conspiracy, just twisting facts by some assholes to get ownership over oil fields. Why everything has to be A or B. There is also C and D and E etc.
 
Has there ever been such a thing as starting a war for good purposes?

I think the internet simply allows people to see the often crude propaganda used when nations and empires desire more wealth.

You would hope that with this unique ability to gather information, that people would wise up to how elites operate, but look at how easily we've almost been dragged into a war with Russia and Iran.

And if Iran wanted to attack a neighbor or Israel, then they'd have even less problems convincing their population.

It's for this reason, I think tribal nationalism is growing. Smarter people begin to realize what the game is about and they're not about to be dragged into war anymore by banker and political elites sitting in Washington or Brussels.

Well, the Senate will probably have a review, and a few hearings over it. I guess that's something. :)

Then again, these are the same people who walk into parliament decrying, "Climate change doesn't exist! See, I can prove it because I brought me a snowball in a ziploc bag!". heh.
 
at least they are telling the truth about irans nuclear program. Could you imagine what they might come up with if not forced to tell the truth (about Iraq)

Every politician is a liar.

I assume everything a politician says is a lie - or at the very least, intentionally misleading.

Can't blame 'em. Lying works. Voters are the most religious people in the world. Their faith is in statism. You can sell them anything that doesn't conflict with their core beliefs (e.g. we need rulers, America has moral superiority, etc.).
