NJACT: Not Just Another Cancer Thread

There is no reason that your dad can't take both ('one and 'ol). I am 40 and take 1200mg of CoQ10 daily. No health problems.

I don't doubt taking high amounts of each form of CoQ10 has no negative health implications. I take 100mg ubiquinol everyday myself. For people like me and you, we can do it. However for my Dad, he wants benefits without sacrificing anything. He finds taking supplements very inconvenient to the point that he moans it's torturing him, which is one of the reasons he is giving up. I have already tried to make the protocol as simple and as convenient as possible. Putting ubiquinione in coconut oil and heating is beyond his tolerance.

He stopped the diet too as he loves biscuits, rice, bread and carbs. He finds the diet 'torturous' as well.

About 3-4 weeks ago, my Dad had an X-ray, and it was found that his tumor have doubled in size. Its been 2 months since he stopped the diet and the supplements.

Anyway, his cancer is not our main concern now. He has vascular dimentia and it has accelerated surprisingly quick. In a space of 4 months, he has gone from walking, talking and doing his daily activities, to becoming a cripple. He can only walk really small steps, he has terrible memory, in a confused state and speaks with no sense alot of the time. I have to push him in a wheelchair to go out, help him to the toilet and also help him eat his food, he can't even hold his fork properly.

Sorry to hear that dude. Sounds like a lot for you and your sister to cope with. I hope you are getting the support you need from the NHS and other family members too.

Seo,

Im so sorry to hear about your dad. My Dad is also 84 and my mom is 74.. and i worry about them as they mean the world to me. Basically as soon as they get a symptom (cough, sneeze, chest pain, feet swelling) literally anything my mind goes to cancer. its torturous. and since i work so much i dont see them that much even though 3 days a week they stay very close to me.

I have studied cancer extensively. Basically the biggest and hardest problem with cancer is its WILL TO LIVE.. cancer cells have almost like god like ability to survive. Cancer cells do not want to die and in fact its what makes them lethal. They are willing and a lot of times do out live the host that they are in.

One major way to survive is there ability to adapt. An example of this.. Lets say for example cancer can only process and thrive off sugar.. well the first thing a person would do is go on no carb high fat diet. easy right? Well when the cancer realises its not getting enough food it will literally STEAL food from your body. That means what LITTLE sugar your body produces will be taken by cancer..

or lets say somehow your body has no sugar only fat and protien. well what esssientally can happen is your cancer cells will literally mutate into something that CAN ABSORB fat and survive.. thats how determined and smart these fucking cancer cells are..

now im using silly examples as its probably not possible for cancer cells to use fat but the overall point stands..

Thats what you see in chemo a lot.. basically someone will take chemo and it will kill 99.99 percent of the cancer inside them.. guess what.. thats .01 that survived the chemo.. well he is now able to resist the chemo and and he will come back with vengeance.. and this time hes not fucking around. As the best way for him to survive is to spread out and send as much of himself he can all over the body.. so in january the scans show cancer free.. in july your body is riddled with cancer..

It is my opinion after studying cancer for so long. that the two best ways to defeat cancer is 1. catch it early.. the faster and sooner you catch it the higher the chance you have to live a long life. 2. Your immune system.. See your immune system is one powerfull mother fucker.. and it will fuck up your cancer cells.. i mean fuck them up.. it will literally tear them to peices if it ever gets the hint that they are the enemy.

The problem is cancer cells give up signals using proteins that tell our immune system.. " hey whats up dude im just a regular cell doing my thing.. im no threat" and by pass our immune system. Now believe it or not your immune system actually takes care of a lot of cancer cells before they have a chance to grow.. thats why people with weakend immune are more susp to cancer.

Certainly i think diet can play a great role in helping prevent cancer. But i dont think it can cure cancer IMHO.. cutting out smoking, drinking, drugs, sodas.. all will help.. even 10 minute of exercise shows that it can help your overall health..

But one thing that i believe is a cause of a lot of our health issues.. including cancer, heart problems etc.. is INFLAMATION..

it is my opinion that inflammation contributes extremely to the formation of cancer.. heart disease and other disease.. if there was a pill we could take as humans that would naturally reduce inflammation in our bodies i believe we all could live 10 years longer on average.

Sorry to see the update, bud. Keep it up, and enjoy every moment with your Dad.

My mom has been battling stage IV metastatic breast cancer for six and a half years now, and still maintains a relatively good quality of life. The oncologist says she's a miracle patient. I'm inclined to believe it. She's become the strongest person I know and my parents have been the ideal image of a strong relationship as a result.

Cancer is a bitch.

Sorry to hear about all of this SEO.

I hope everyone here watches the last VICE episode that just aired last night. It looks like some actual cures are starting be be developed. There are many different types of cancers but it looks like this general tactic of using engineered viruses to target and kill cancer cells is working great.

That's remarkable. I've never seen a stage 4 go six years from diagnosis (of IV).

I don't see it that way. You're giving too much credit to cancer IMHO. Also, I doubt cancer has a "survival instinct", that's the behaviour of an external live entity like a virus or bacteria. It's your own cells not re-generating properly. I do agree with the inflammation part though.

I've personally known people who healed their cancer naturally, either through diet or through meditation, positive visualization and things like that. Man, YouTube is full of testimonials from people who healed their cancer through diet and exercise. Take a few mins and watch these...

Look up contact inhibition (lack thereof) and immortality in culture. You have no idea of what you're talking about.

My mom was just diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, it has metastasized to a few bones (Very small spots but still spots) . It sucks :(

We have changed her diet to LCHF (Ketosis) and we are working on building her a "protocol" of foods, supplements and hormone blockers.

@poopie What information is the best to read about IP6? It seems like you know a lot about breast cancer, anything you can recommend?

@SeoRebornI it sucks going through this, hang tough and just be there for your dad.

.

Here:

IP6 Research

Its optimal to take IP6 with Inositol.

Here is the book to read:

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/IP6-Inositol-Medicine-Millennium-Molecules/dp/984332708X/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1425213344&sr=8-14&keywords=ip6"]IP6 + Inositol: Nature's Medicine For The Millennium!: Discover How A Cocktail of Simple Molecules Can Prevent And Fight Cancer And Other Diseases: Prof AbulKalam M Shamsuddin MD PhD: 9789843327086: Amazon.com: Books[/ame]

I'm in contact with the Professor Shamsuddin , the leading researcher for IP6 for cancer. I can pass you his details if you wish to consult with him. He gave me the recommended dosage to take*.

I believe my Dads tumor stopped growing, in large part due to him taking IP6+Inositol.

I also recommend beta glucan to take along side IP6. It marks out the cancer cells for the immune system to attack. The beta glucan gets distributed to the bone marrow via oral ingestion too.

Beta Glucan Research

In a study of beta glucan + IP6, they saw reduction in tumor size in patients.

* He makes no claims IP6 cures cancer, as you know, such a claim is a jailable offense.

Wow, so sorry to hear. I did grad-school research in oncology, specifically, P-gp inhibition (MDR1) of chemoresistance with ACE inhibitors.

Treatment will depend on her HER2 status. Dox (Adriamycin), Paclitaxel (Abraxane (albumin-bound)), and 5-FU is one regimen for first-line in MBC that is very highly-regarded.

My mother went through a similar protocol when she was diagnosed (same, Stage IV). She went into remission but succumbed to the adjuvant treatment of Mitomycin--gave her Hemolytic-Uremic Syndrome.

Surviving w/o chemo is going to be a long-shot, so I would find the best possible care in your state, or even consider the possibility of MD Anderson, etc. Here are some suggestions:

MD Anderson
U of Wash, Seattle (tops in SPA plasmapheresis)
MSK in NYC
Mayo
Dana-Farber

I am not up to speed on the latest protocols, but Dox/Taxane-based therapies are very good.

The issue with toxicity is ameliorated with CoQ10 (chemoprotective), but may also have some chemoresistant properties. I can go into detail in a PM. Anyway, she should be on high-dose CoQ10 during and post-treatment. The Dox will impact LVEF and the CoQ10 can avert the damage to the heart. I wish you and your mom the best.

I don't think that IP6 will be of much use, post-diagnosis. It will not hurt to take it. Just Google IP6+breast cancer.

VICE premiered this season with an episode about people being cured with modified measles virus (others with HIV or common cold virus). FDA is fast tracking.

People about to die from cancer underwent treatment and their tumors disappear entirely. It looks like this is what we've been waiting for...

Full episode:

It's promising, as long as they can find other vectors/strains that the vast majority of patients do not have antibodies (to). The patients treated with the attenuated measles had not been vaccinated prior to the massive dose of attenuated vaccine.

WTF is with the doctor in the VICE video, who said there was no funding to proceed at one point?!?
How the hell is that possible, when the whole world is waiting for breakthroughs like these??
I blame it on him and his team for not advertising the possible solution enough??

Hell, if he just got in touch somehow and asked Steve Jobs for 1% of his worth, he would have enough fucking funding for all the tests he needs.

So fucking stupid. Makes you think how many breakthroughs there are in the world, that we never heard for due to various things, including the lack of funding.
Unbelievable.

He ended up advertising with that publication he made in that journal and then got lots more funding. But in the end he prob can't expect too much funding from traditional pharmas because they aren't in the business of curing only treating.

I agree with you, inflammation is the source of many chronic diseases.

A ketogenic diet is anti-inflammatory. Higher blood sugar levels correlates with inflammation. Levels of C-reactive protein reduces with lower carb consumption also.

I take Serrapeptase and Nattokinase as a preventative also.
