No more "turn off Google Instant"

Two options for you:

1. Use Opera. Google doesn't like it that much, so instant crap doesn't work there.
2. Try DuckDuckGo.com. It's an alternative search engine with pretty good results.

Hope this helps.

Rewatch the launch video for Google Instant. The old man says "I didn't even have to scroll down" which means he probably clicked on Adwords instead of an organic result which is what Instant is designed to do.

Instant + Previews = japanese seizure robots. You can disable all that shit though with 3rd party stuff but it's a shame to see Google forcing this shit on users while providing no means to disable it unless you go 3rd party.

Use the SSL version of Google Search, problem solved. https://encrypted.google.com/
I just made encrypted.google.com my homepage. Just need to go back to standard google every time I want to do an image search as it's not there in ecrypted (thankfully image search doesn't have instant).

Instant = more above-the-fold adwords exposure at the cost of a possible user seizure. What happened to Google's doctrines on "user experience"?
