You're kidding, right? They did beat Finland.

The win against Russia wasn't the final game. It was earlier in the tournament (semi-finals I think -- too lazy to Google right now). It was considered a "miracle" because that Russian team was ranked #1 in the world and had been extremely dominant for a long time.
