Wow, people here willing to drive 2-6 hours just for a free steak and beer?! Haha!!

But hey, I'm game, and yes, I'm paying.

I will have to work out some dates. My father and the owner are pretty damn good pals, so maybe I can swing some free take home 1 gallon Lager jugs.

Is the weekend preferred? Maybe a Saturday during the day instead of at night.. Why don't you guys and girls serious about this chime in with what day of the week and a good time range you're up for it?

I want to get a rough estimate range headcount so I know how much room for them to close off for us. It's not a huge place either, so the more the merrier, but maybe we can take the whole upper area balcony that overlooks the beer making vats and bar.

I posted a thread to see how many people on this forum were from the southeast to try to meet/greet other webmasters, but the response was minimal and everyone was 300 miles apart. But you guys have fun. Maybe I'll get off my ass this year and grab up some Manhattan real estate soon so I can join in on the fun at a later date.

How far southeast are you talking about? I'm in miami, and I have seen a few members from here with Miami, FL as their location. I'm up for a meetup anytime.

Give me a heads up and I will try to make the trip, I'm about an hour and a half out of the city, but have been looking for an excuse to make a trip out to NYC to piss around for a day. Wouldnt be able to drink with you all, cuz I'd probably just make an afternoon of it and drive back the same day.

Drinking and then driving down 80 is probably not such a hot idea....
 
Oh ya, I'm hoping you don't need to be 21 to get in to the restaurant. Let me know if you do.
 
na you don't have to be 21 to get into heartland. wow how many of you are under 21? i could be down for this, although i'm technically new , but been lurking since the beginning. so i dunno if i count as being able to go. That upstairs at the union square heartland might be a little small if there's gonna be a lot of people....well not really, but it's set up weird.
 
Anytime on a Saturday or early on a Sunday (up to like 3pm). Hopefully I can make it and no I won't let you buy my meal. In fact, Jon.. I'LL buy YOU a drink. Or maybe I'll just pay that hot chick from Hitch (Eva Mendes) to feed you Robotussen and tell me all your secrets. Haha, jk.

Not so much for steak, but to meet people and maybe learn a thing or two.

To me the day of the week doesn't really matter.
 
I live in Midtown - if you are talking about the 1st weekend (the 3rd) I can probably make it, but won't be around much the rest of the month... heading to DC and then Vegas!
 
Maybe I shouldn't be planning this.. haha, I can't pick a date yet because I may be moving out of NYC for a few months, and I just want to make sure I don't pick a date and then find out that I won't be around for it.
