well komi got 4 assits this year and 0 goals, he actually scored 2 goals against his own team this year :banana_sml:
Phaneuf is better for sure but he needs a great partner to play with him, if he plays with Komi ti will be a nightmare.
anyway the leafs are a way better team for sure
burke has made the leafs look like a different team compared to the last few years.

For start he'll be playing with Beauchemin in 5 on 5 and Kaberle on PP = deadly. Finally teams will have to worry about more than just Kessel on the PP.
That's quite a stretch considering we just gave up a bunch of our forwards. Even if Burke pulls another big move quickly to get something up front that's stilll a big stretch. We'd have to go on some crazy 10 game winning streak and win something like 20 of the next 25 games, pretty much impossible. I'll be happy if we get out of the bottom 3 (Boston has our #1 pick).

i checked the standings after i posted that realized that they were doing that bad. normally i am pretty update to date on standings/stats... no dice there. burke did get rid of the scoring part of the team but i think burke has something up his sleeve. from what i've been reading, he is willing to take the cap hit from teams in need of clearing of space(aka flyers, rags).
i'm interested in seeing what homer pulls off before the trade deadline for the flyers. reports are that he is shopping around for another d-man. would not mind that. they had a habit of going through defensive players in the playoffs. i just wish the reports of the flyers being in the hunt for kovalchuk would end. they can't afford him. hell they couldn't spend $$ to buy a ice cream sandwich. they are up against the cap.
Uzzz you picked a great game to go to! Phaneuf wasted no time making his presence felt and Giggiy had a solid game well deserving of the shutout. All 3 new faces played solid really. How come I always end up going to shitty games when I decide to go? :angryfire:
