Star Control 2 was super fun. I just flew around collection bio samples on planets. Never actually tried to beat the game, I think I was too young.
Sarien.net hosts a few of the old Sierra games for web-based play or iPad play - King's Quest, Space Quest, Gold Rush, etc. It'll wreck your productivity for the day, though.

Call of duty modern warfare was the first game I ever played online! Not really.
+1 for Leisure Suit Larry, I still remember copping the STD and my dick exploded because I banged the hooker and didn't buy the condom from the grocery store. The original came out before I was born so I played the "new school VGA version" when I was very very young, so I had no idea WTF was going on until I played it again later some years later.
I think the first game I played ONLINE was Quake 1, it was fucking horrible, as I had a 28.8k connection battling peeps from America while I'm in Australia. Then I played Q2 then Q3, and still play Quake Live.
Anything Blizzard was the shit. Warcraft 1, 2, Diablo, Starcraft etc. Has Blizzard made a shit game? Even Battle Chess was fucking amazing. I only recently found out that they also made Rock N Roll racing which was one of my favs also

I use to play Command and Conquer Red Alert and Quake 1 religiously on Mplayer, Kali, and Gamespy religiously for about 2 years.
