OMW to better health and weight.

go to gym, you will feel even better. That's the way for a good healthy life. You decided well

u don't need that much protein. 3 shakes. that's all a myth. there are vegan nfl players with more muscle than 7 WF'ers put together. reduce animal products in your diet where you can. eat whole grains ONLY. nothing refined. no sugars if possible. and your body and health will change.

and you won't need to count calories because the reduction will be inevitable.

but more importantly, your body's response to food will change.

Ok... who let PETA in here?

I think we kind of discussed this in PM's, but I went vegan and got really sick once. I have a friend who is vegan and he gets sick like once a month. Personally, I think vegan is no bueno. Our bodies need animal fat.

I've been vegan over 2 months now and feel better than ever, down 15 lbs. Please don't turn this into some animal fat debate and ruin OPs thread, my vegan thread had enough of that lol. Pm me if you want to discuss further or chat though. You can check my food log here too of my first 30+ days Going vegan. Follow me as I experience the vegan lifestyle. – Dan the Vegan

Haven't updated it lately because I've been busy with biz but I got over 30 days of food log in there which is nice to look back on :)

Vegans who get sick and blame it on veganism are doing it wrong. Do your research. And if you'd like to try it again hit me up :)

That really depends on your activity level

He has to create a calorie deficiency to burn fat. He's most likely not very active and 1200 calls isn't low enough to send him into "starvation mode".
Except for the fact that at 250 pounds he needs well over 1,200 calories just to properly maintain his internal functions. 1,200 calories is nowhere near enough and regardless if he says he isn't ever hungry now, there is a high chance in the end he will put himself in a starvation mode.

At OP, at your weight you should be fine at 1,800 calories. You'd probably be fine at 1,600 but if you just started aim for 1,800.

I've mentioned before, but yea I increased to 2k a day now that I'm going to start exercising on monday.

It's a cliche saying, but ever so true: "you are what you eat."

Eating right + a little exercise goes a LONG way. I've seen it transform friends right before my eyes. Good luck with your goals!

What did they turn into?

don't count calories.
don't eat fast food / soda etc.

do eat organic fruits / veggies.
drink lots of filtered water.
eat free range meat / poultry.

at your current weight = cardio should be 1st.

I'll probably get flamed for this, but how about going vegetarian for a couple of months. It'll help you get to being thinner much quicker, and once you're there, it may be easier to maintain, rather than having to actually lose weight.

agree that 1200 calories isn't enough - you will burn muscle if its that low. Find out what your maintenance calorie amount is and cut that by 20%.

Right because fast weight loss is good for most people in the long-term.

Losing weight is so fucking easy.

1. Don't drink calories. (Unless it's a protein shake or occasional beer etc.)
2. Don't eat a shit ton of white carbs (bread, pasta, chips, cookies, etc.)
3. Eat as little sugar as possible. Don't eat sweets, ice cream, etc.
4. Eat as much veggies and meat (the leaner the better) as you want.
5. Drink a lot of water (you will get used to it and crave it if you don't now)

Do these 5 simple things and you will lose weight. No need to even count calories. Throw in some exercise and you'll lose weight even faster. Easy as pie. Once you stop eating crap your body will stop craving it (if it does now).

Sure, if you're doing it by starving yourself. Mind linking to one page from a respected source that shows going vegetarian for a few months is bad for you long term?

Btw, thanks for the neg rep <3
Do I need to show you articles from respected sources that show that rapid weight loss is bad for you in the long term?

UPDATE:

Ok so its been 15 days, I still haven't started exercising because I'm a lazy faggot, but it really is on my TOP todo list.

Weighed in this morning at 247lbs so a loss of 6lbs in 15 days. I know it could be so much more if I exercised so I'm really kicking my self in the ass for this one.

I'll post again in 15 days.

UPDATE: Down 18lbs

Its been 2 months 2 days since I started eating better, I had a rough week with a lot of drinking (when friends came into town) and actually gained 3 pounds even while eating healthy.

So that brings me to ~2.25lbs lost per week. even with that rough week where I gained.

Started exercising 30 min 3 times a week, trying to increase a little more each time, but so out of shape its hard but getting easier.

Starting weight 253lbs Current 235lbs // Will update again, whenever.
