Groups of people attacking/mistreating/dehumanizing people not in their in-group? Shocking.

Race is only one variable that can be used to group people. Culture, social class, or pretty much any aspect of one's appearance that sets them apart can be used to "other" someone. It's all very juvenile and pathetic - like cliques in high school. Jocks vs. nerds vs. goths. If you play into it, you're part of it. Sure, watch out for your safety, protect yourself, but if you promote these attitudes you're part of the problem.

The perpetrators and victims of crime are usually the same race. Violent crime rates in the US keep going down. Also, I imagine that Rachael Ray's pitbull acts different than ones raised by Michael Vick.

Can't wait for someone to say they turn on people. My APBT was socialized early and trained well, and he's one of the sweetest dogs in the world.
