Is this really a possibility? I've been looking through alot of topics on this forum and I see alot of methods of advertising, but all of them cost money. Is there truly any way to get your website some traffic without using adsense and the like? Im open to spending some money on advertising when I have some to spend, but id like to know if there are any good methods of advertising your business with little to no cost methods?

Thanks in advance.

No money? Want to market? Remember the old saying: You can have it good, or you can have it fast. But the only way you can have it good and fast is to pay out the nose for it.

Look for forums and conversations that come up high in searches for your niche. Participate in those forums and conversations, without being obnoxious and spammy.

Network on social sites. Facebook, myspace, etc. Basically go where the people are.

If you're a local niche, get seen at gatherings, wear clothing with your website name on it. Get a big magnetic car sticker with your site and logo on it at Kinkos and slap it on your car. Make friends with one of the on-air talent at a radio station that serves the demographic you're looking for and work out ways to promote your site without annoying the sales staff or the program director.

Have a useful site.

You'd be better off getting a part time job somewhere for a couple months and banking all the money so you can have a chance. Remember, to collect enough data to make good decisions on your traffic you really should spend 7-10x the offers commission price on traffic to create your benchmark data for optimization.

Figure out what your offer is going to pay out and put away 20x that amount, then start buying ads.

Hell no. Hire yourself out for writing gigs on DP and here. Better work environment than some soul-sucking p/t gig, and you'll sharpen your writing skills at the same time that you network with people who are making enough money to hire people.

Plus you'll learn what people are researching/buying content for/making sites about.

In the meantime, focus yourself on where you want your site to go and work smarter than your competition.

Most part time jobs suck. Unless they're in radio.

You can get some free PPC credits if you look around, I know tracking202 has some links on their resources page. There's also some Facebook ads credit coupons on retailmenot.

hey man, i can help you build a bank roll, shoot me a PM. Plenty of ways to promote for free (that actually works)

retailmenot.com has $100 in coupons for facebook(I used them last week) and if your join the visa business network thats another $100

of course you can get traffic without paying for it but it's just a slower go. You can make cash via organic search results & SEO but you'll work your ass off for it.

SEO can help you to drive targeted traffic to your website. You don't need to pay a single penny for the traffic. You can begin with directory submissions, article submissions, Social Bookmarking, Yahoo answers, Blog comments, Forum Post and using website url in signatures etc.. There are many such ways to drive traffic to your website.

Try to leverage the hell out of squidoo. Doesn't take long to make a lens and you can constantly tweak them to get them to rank better. I made one just to test out the squidoo method and it did pretty well.

the first 1k i made as an affiliate was done with $0 put into it.... you just gotta think real deep and hard on how to do it, fyi i didn't do it through free postings online
