How do you Ozzies feel about Oprah and her posse stealing the show on your territory? lol

Just watched the part where she brought Jay-Z on stage... he didn't say much but fuck it kills how popular this guy is even in the most remote places.

I'd say it was split but there is a growing anti-american sentiment down under so it wasn't good timing on her part.

I certainly didn't want her here. I think she's a cancerous charlatan.

Plus, our state government spent millions of dollars just to get her here. That money could be put to much better use. It won't make much difference because Americans won't come here due to the long travel and plus our dollar is worth just as much (if not more sometimes) as the USD now.

I'm coming to sydney and staying for a month and some weeks with a friend and for ad tech... and she was also was talking about this yesterday... can't believe your government paid for her and like 300 people to go there... crazy shit

I wouldn't exactly call Australia a remote place haha.

I didn't witness this alleged theft of a show that you have described. Is this illegal in the US?

I'm in two minds about it. For one I don't understand her phenomenon or her mass appeal. I assume that given the timeslot of her show (middle of the day here) that it appeals to stay at home parents and the unemployed - of which I am neither.

On the other hand, I am grateful for any boon that may come from this as a result of her exposing us to the US and perhaps getting us some more tourists.

For starters, fuck you - Australia is not remote. We're a western country that follows western trends.

Secondly, what I know about Jay-Z is that he bangs Beyonce and is a multimillionaire. Of course he's popular.

Chillax my bloke. By "remote" I meant that little school where Jay Z went to meet those underprivileged kids. It seemed like it was way in the outskirts...

Anyhow, this is off-topic but I thought this photo was fucking hilarious... had to share...

I briefly saw some giant O on a structure in AUS and then Oprah. I though, "Oh Shit, Oprah bought Australia in a flood sale"

Didn't see the show, but I see your point. I agree, fuck the remote fuckers for knowing who Jay-Z is. Maybe he showed them his penis before the show and that's why they were in such awe of him?

That particular spider, the Huntsman, is harmless. You might pull a muscle when throwing your shoe at them but that's about as dangerous as they get. Funnel webs, White-tails and redbacks are the ones to be fearful of.
