Any advise?

So far after the bids I received on my project after all the replies I only selected a few (and I'm very picky). I would like them to provide one sample of my many sites. Is this wrong?

I do like their sample designs, but for some reason I can't make a decission unless I see it for one of my own sites.

A few people have ignored me and declined.

Is think this is wrong? I'd like to know what I'm goin to get before I pay. Do you think this is overboard?

There are a couple companies that aren't replying to me who I feel to be qualified. I'm not sure what to do, should I just off of the examples they provided?

If you're as picky as I am, would you wait it out unitl you found the pefect candidate that is willing to provide a sample upfront?

I've told them, to watermark, at demo all over, scratch out with lines all over, so it can't be used, just enough for me to see the design.

Sounds like your getting graphics work. It is a bit difficult for them to trust people sometimes.

I have had good luck with elance as the seller and the buyer feel fairly protected versus someone you just email. No one wants to get negged.
