Pagerank update in progress

Pagerank does matters because pages with high PR are cached by Google on regular basis while for other pages with low PR, you have to ping those pages to get your backlinks indexed. I don't think its a new update because all of the new pages/created in last 2-3 months received no pagerank from Google.

Everybody saying PR doesn't matter has never seen what a couple dozen PR6 links on authority sites does to your rankings in tough niches. Just sayin....

The point isn't that pagerank doesn't matter - it does. However, pagerank is updated multiple times per day, so the fact that they are exporting a pagerank update to their toolbar doesn't matter unless you are selling links or sites, etc.
