Passion VS. Profits?

I was also a white hat web developer before I got into PPC. I enjoyed it much more but let me tell you, PPC affiliate marketing is just so much faster. I don't know about easier, but definitely faster.

If your campaigns are going good enough and can run on autopilot for a while, why not let them run and focus some attention on developing websites? You can always go back.

I've been thinking about this a bit lately...

I am successful with PPC but now I don't really enjoy the process anymore, I did when I first started out...

Because of that I'm now considering to get into building authority sites, starting out with flipping to get some experience in that field. That's because I was a programmer before I got into the IM world and I always liked doing that. Building stuff and the challenges... But at the same time I also have my doubts. I mean, why give up something that's working right?

So, what are you doing? Are you listening to your wallet or your passion?

And what is your experience with this subject? I'm sure I'm not the only one that has or is experiencing it...

Can really relate to this! Thanks! I was doing a marketing course and got banned coz I used a couple of masked swearwords on the forum - Yikes! Anyway, I was so bogged down with PPC this and that and I was really starting to HATE it!! G.A. was sucking da $$$'s BIG TIME! All I wanted to do was work on my blog so I switched to friggin' around with that instead!

Life got a whole lot rosier!
Cheers,
Dave.

instead of being an affiliate why dont you try creating your own offer and hawking it to affiliate networks? play the other side of the game...

Doing what you enjoy most can be so rewarding. Sometimes you have to start with humble beginnings, and you may not be able to devote more than a few hours a week, but hopefuly over time the answers that are not clear now will become evident you progress. I spent 3-4 years working mostly for free before my project (phpLD) became profitable.

Use the ppc to fund your passion till you have enough income to afford to drop ppc, if you want to.

The rich work so they can follow their passions. The poor work so they can pay their bills. :D

Go With your passion for a while.

If it doesn't turn out good then just go back to PPC
