Patriots Meltdown of 2013

Tebow is a tight end for the Patriots. Watch.
Shame for Hernandez, he just got his 40 million contract. Now he doesn't even get to taste the big money.

BTW cant wait for the Eagle vs Pats pre season game. Duck fan rooting for Chip Kelly

Exactly the 40 Million was just on offer and he screwed everything up...

This.

Morons don't see it. I stand by my Tebow 10 TD prediction. If anything, he maybe gets more.

I got no sympathy for Hernandez. The kid had it made, he done went and fucked up his chances for a good life. He had money, a career, women - and he couldn't leave the scum behind in Connecticut.

Take the trash out. Patriots will bounce back stronger than ever.

Except that he lined up at QB in minicamp. And I think you are underrating how difficult it is to play a skill position you have never played before against the talent in the NFL. Just because you are 6-4 250 and can run a 4.7 doesn't mean you can just jump in and play tight end. There is a ton of technique involved, route running, and not to mention you have to be able to catch the ball REALLY fucking well.

I stand by my prediction, 3rd string QB, maybe a few plays a game on special teams. Eventually develop into an H-back in a couple seasons. Or not make the roster at all.

I'm still laughing about Putin stealing Bob Kraft's SB ring. "I could kill somebody with this ring"

Kraft mistakenly approached a supreme plutocrat as an equal. Nice try, Bob.

Absolutely hilarious... What a perfect crime... jacked him right in front of his face!

Hernandez missed 5 games last year. Patriots averaged 42+ points in those 5 games and lined up in the 11 personnel (1RB/1TE/3WR) formation over 80% of the time. They will not trade for another TE (depending on Gronk's health status), they will not convert Tebow to TE, they will not run two TEs. Bill ran two TEs when it provided strategic advantage. Replacing Hernandez with Teblow or Ballard (4.99 40, are you fucking kidding me?) doesn't create an advantage. Running Ridley and Vereen in the backfield together, then letting Brady make the call at the line and audibleing Vereen into the slot depending on defensive formation/personnel will create the advantages and is what you can expect to see a lot of.

Do you bros even football?

Didn't the Pats have Gronk on the field at the time Hernandez was out? I don't ever remember them both being out at the same time.

I think Brady can do wonders with just one of them lining up but with Gronk hurt and Hernandez in jail, forget about it. Brady doesn't even have Welker to lean on anymore.

This is correct.

Really? Cuz he totally sucked until they drafted Gronk and Hernandez three years ago, right?

Pay attention to the attempts. He wasn't flinging it 600-700 times/year like top QBs in the past three years, he was putting up 4000 yards and 25-35 TDs throwing it only ~500 times.

Inb4 "but 2007...Moss".... his leading receiver in 2006 was Reche Caldwell. Who? Exactly. 2005? Deion Branch? 2004? David Givens. 2003? Branch again. 2002? Troy Brown, when he wasn't playing defense. None of them hit 1000 yards. None scored 10+ TDs. See the trend? Brady will get his on the field and will be one of the best values in fantasy football with everyone jumping off his jock.

I'm not a Pats fan by any measure, but I respect the product they put on the field and Brady has been criminally underrated his entire career, often being an afterthought to Manning, Brees and now Rodgers.

True, he'll probably reach the same numbers he did pre '07 but even if he does manage to get 25-28 TDs, I don't think their D is good enough to win them the close games.

I expect Denver to win the home field advantage for the playoffs and with Peyton's experience, they'll take the AFC championship this time...provided Raheem Moore doesn't fuck it up again.

every year the jokes at espn and people in general make nfl "projections" based completely on last year's performance. a 5th grader could do it. to a man, every "expert" last year had the colts ranked 32nd, and they finished ranking 10th. why? because the colts made offseason changes that the experts hadn't the foggiest clue how to process into meaningful projections, so they just threw their hands up and said "32nd" because that's where the colts ended the season prior.

all this talk about how good the partiots are going to be this year because they've got tom brady and he did "X" in 2003 is complete horseshit. none of you have any idea. people age, rosters change.

there came a day when joe montana was no longer joe montana, lawrence taylor was no longer lawrence taylor, and the 85 bears were the 89 bears. both brady and manning are on the brink of that change. do they have another year left? who knows. i don't, and neither do any of you.

the only thing we can say with certainty is that tebow is a fucking clown who was good enough for college but not good enough for the pros.
