I, for one, am tired of these bullshit scamming mother fockers who troll the internet looking to flat out steal from people. I think it is time we set up a thread and put down every email address these sorry sacks use and bombard them with spam or any form of excessive emails. The reason I say this is maybe we can save some guy from sending a few thousand or hundred dollars to some offshore scumbag thief. You know the email types I am talking about, here is one. If they get a ton of emails to these email addresses maybe they won't be able to isolate the ones from innocent (and naive) people who may otherwise be ripped off.

I am really the bank manager and have your funds ready to be loaded onto your ATM card. Please send me $2,000USD to process the transaction.

and if you are reading this and are one of these scumbags, I hope they catch your ass, ship you off to prison and you are passed around the cell block to be used and abused by every rough neck looking for fresh meat.

Dude! are you new to teh interwebs or something? these fuckers just keep using new email accounts all the time.

And besides, I'm sorry to say but if you are that much of a fucking idiot to fall for this shit, especially with the shit being all over the news etc etc, you fucking deserve it.

lol

uh-oh - Sounds like they got someone :)

I can't believe anyone would fall for it, I really can't, damn man teh sheeples must really be sheeples.

sticks I'm not new man. I know they create email addresses left and right but if the second one of us gets one we can post it here and then that email address gets 100-200 emails, maybe the retired guy from florida who may believe it doesn't get taken for his $2000. Maybe the scumbags miss out on a bunch of easy marks because their inbox is flooded with emails.

As I said if your a fuckwit enough to believe a total stranger wants to fill up your bank account, you deserve it.

No wonder these make monies online ebook cunts make so much money.

if someone is stupid enough to fall for scam like these (mostly because they are freaking greedy.), he is deserved to lose the money

sampunk people "fall for" this because they are deceived. Sure a small part of the equation is that people are greedy but I bet the majority of the people "falling for" this scam are elderly, new to the internet or undereducated. Sure you can be a macho typing tough guy and say "screw em, they deserve it" and turn a blind eye, or you can grow a sack and try to do something.
I am merely tired of people thinking everyone in our industry is a scam artist, I am tired of watching news channels and hearing about 70 yr old men and women having to work part time at mcdonalds or walmart because some internet predator screwed them over.
You guys sit on your hands, do nothing, but please post nothing. Anyone interested in fighting back can jump on the bandwagon. Looking at some of the responses so far you can make a guess on who may have done this or tried it.

duuuuuuude, you want to have fun with this? I email them back, send them pictures and tell them i'm interested.

The responses you get are amaaaaazing and if you really want to have fun with these guys tell them to meet you in London, then accidentally not make it then tell them you'll be in Bangkok with $500k for them, then accidentally miss your flight.

Tell them you are a woman and are lonely and you want them to send you photos, write you love poems and record and email you songs telling you they love you.

The crazy thing is... they will do it.

@jrbrown

I get those emails all the time. Go to www.scam-busters.com and download their scam reply script. It will send a virus that will take control of the scammers computer. I have seen it work and it's ass fucking deadly. Most of the people here at WF have seen it also and I'm sure would agree.

The scams are so overused that it doesn't take much for someone to recognize the pattern (ie: you don't have to memorize names, companies, etc since they're all fake anyways, but the pattern is never changing). For example logically speaking... what possible (legal/etc) reason would someone overpay you and want you to send the difference back long before they've even sent you anything. Likewise what idiot actually thinks they are going to be randomly selected among emails to "transfer" funds for some millionaire. It's right up there with what idiot model in Montana really thinks some photographer or agent is going to randomly email an untested model saying that they'll fly her out to london for some fashion show (but need a deposit).

I'm all for harshly punishing scammers and such, but there comes a certain time when I recognize that some people just can't use their fucking brains and in a way had it coming, despite being slammed in the face with the same pattern over and over and over again on the web for the last decade.
