Hi,

I have some problems with PayPal. They've just frozen my account. I don't like it! And they will hold my money for 6-12 months...!! Hey, PayPal is not a bank, how can they do this?

Anybody had the same problem? If so, how did you solve it?

They're not a bank and can do whatever they want with your money.

They've done this to countless thousands of accounts. Were you doing something shady? Lots of chargebacks? High risk business?

They freeze the account, but will pay you in 180 days, I don't think they take longer than that normally.

Exactly that. Happened to me before and after 90 something days I had my money back. You can always contact them via support and you will get a response.

Where you doing something that you knew you would get in trouble for?

They'll freeze your account if they expect anything suspicious by you or someone else. Sometimes when I login under a proxy it'll freeze my account, and when I first started making actual cash with my services here on WF they froze my account because they didn't understand why I was taking in so much cash. They've also done it when I've paid people several times in the same day.

Just call them, wait the 15 minutes, clear it up, and you'll be done.

Happened to me back in March still waiting out the 180 days.

Shit sucks, join the club

I think the appropriate phrase is "Good Luck Bros."

Not much you can do apart from wait for your money, and set up a proper merchant account with Powerpay instead.

Definitely time to setup a direct merchant account.

PayPal is good for certain things, but when it comes to any high(er) risk business, any business that does substantial volume (I would say over 20K/month) and/or has chargebacks - you need to have a real merchant account.

What happened to you is very common, alot of the merchants I work with came to me because of this exact reason.
