How do you use this exactly? Pompodoro technique or time boxing or what?
Time boxing. Pomodero, as I understand it, is a method for setting aside chunks of time to work with no distractions. That's good, but I prefer time boxing because it emphasizes getting things done within your allotted time box. Personally, it helps me break my tendency toward perfection, and focus on the Pareto principle.

Couldn't you combine the 2.. such as setting your timebox time to 25 minutes and getting done what you can good enough in that 25 min time frame? Won't work for huge projects of course, but doing good enough in that 25 minutes could help some busting out shit.
