I recall that home being massive, it was obviously not so.

I believe we sold it for ~120k in 1995 and moved to a smaller house on an acreage a few minutes outside the city. Is worth ~600k now.

^^ Ohhh, that reminds of me the good ole' times. Waking up at 6am to turn your car on and let it warn up a bit. About 20 mins later, you're out there in -38C scraping the ice off your windshield, just so you can get to work.

Good times... I don't know why I ever left for warmer climates.

I grew up in the middle of nowhere in the boonies of Pennsyltucky. Outside a tiny village, miles from the nearest tiny town, many miles from the nearest small town, and an hour and a half from the nearest moderate-sized town.

Street view? Ha!

This is where I grew up.

It was blue & white when we lived there and didn't have all that gravel and shit on the side or all of the stuff in the front yard. We had some nice fruit trees in the side yard back in the day. Street was busy as hell when I was a kid and it's just as bad now. The area has become predominantly Hispanic since I lived there. I think the house was maybe 1400 square feet. Also seemed bigger back when I was a kid. I still drive by it every now and then just to check it out.

See that drainage ditch on the left. That thing went all the way to the next street up. We'd clean it out and bobsled it on our skateboards. I made a few trips to the emergency room because of that thing. Ah the memories.
