Shameless Plug of a Worseless Service?

Alrighty, although this may be a "shameless plug", I am looking for your opinion.

At PRUpdates I am trying to provide you with an easy to use service that will check your pagerank daily to make sure there hasn't been any updates. When there is an update, you will be notified instantly by e-mail with your previous PR and your new PR.

You can setup as many subscriptions as you like (each site will require a new subscription). Simply go to the subscription page, enter your e-mail and the site/page you want the system to check. You'll get a verification e-mail where you have to click a verification link and wham! You're ready to go.

I also added a Live PageRank Checker to the site as a side applcation. Dru liked it, what do you think?

Post your opinion on the project. Nice service/application? Waste of time? Suggestions? Comments? Spit it :love-smiley-083:

Since I tend to ignore PR updates any more, it would be nice to be notified if there was a change. However, I would really like to be able to have all my sites in one account, and just notified if there is a change.

Oh yeah, to make up for the shameless plug I put a link to WickedFire on there. I'll keep it down there as long as I own the site :)

This is something that is kinda in the works. I was thinking of adding free registration and premium registration.

Free Registration

Create a list of 5 sites and receive PR updates.
Ads in all e-mail sent (verification, updates, etc...)
Requires you renew each subscription with verification on each update.

Premium Registration ($5-$10?)
Add as many sites as you want to your list to check.
No ads.
No verification required ever.

This would be easy to make and maintain. I just haven't decided on numbers yet.

This is a good original site idea...in a world of worseless future PR tools. I would "up" the graphics on the home page - 2 boxes, each with an icon or photo...one outlining free and one outlining premium. Right now it screams "don't bother reading me." BTW Don't you wish you had that kick ass domain - prdeal.com for this site??!! :D

Man... you need a logo.... fine service that is...

Nice idea indeed, at 1st I thought this was another PR checking website, but thats a pretty nice addition to the service, especially for those who don't know aproximalty when PR updates.
