iliketurtles, I did some design before I focused on coding but I'm not too skillful. Perhaps 2.5/5. I wouldn't recommend myself for such jobs. Creative graphics is not my strong side

I just got done with a psd conversion with Fixie. I think this was the 2nd or 3rd time we've worked together. Since another programmer had bailed on me at the last minute I actually gave Fixie two sites to convert. While there were a few delays, he always remained in contact and the final product was great. At his suggestion we were able to work out a very fair deal to compensate me for the delay in completing the project.
Finally he went out of his way to make additional tweaks and modifications to the one design that was already partially converted from the other programmer.
I will be working with him again in the near future. Thanks again.

Ah, delays, delays, delays, that's what I'm all about these days. I had some personal problems, technical problems and motivational problems. Next thing you know you have piled up more than 10 projects at the same time and 4 of them I will do for free and 4 with discount. Hopefully I will complete everything this week.

Fixie Website Slicing Job - Review
Just had a full wordpress site with some funky design & functionality requirements and a crap load of custom page and post templates (complete with a bunch of new WP3.0 kewliess) all sliced up and glued back together by Fixie.
First off, coding for a coder is never an easy task - we're picky little SOB's. lol. I had some VERY specific guidelines on how I wanted things to work, and how I wanted them done/coded. The psd was also a tricky one to work with due to a bunch of different reasons, and there where variations and alterations required that we didn't have psd's for. It was a big arse job (a bit of a b*tch of a project, really) which I just didn't have the time to do myself. I don't think he realized at first exactly how much was going to be involved in what I was asking, but I think that may be partially my fault as well for not explaining some things well enough prior to the project.
Due to some extenuating circumstances regarding the development process, it's probably better if I don't rate on punctuality (at the end, he said it was one of his biggest jobs, and definitely the longest), but he made good on what he said, made it up to us for the delays, and we couldn't be happier with the end result. He also made himself available on AIM most days, which is something I took full advantage of.
I'll be honest, it wasn't a quick job, but he got it done, and he got it done right, so I respect him for that
I was also able to show him a few nifty tricks I've picked up along the way myself which I'm hoping will be of use to him on future projects, not to mention the fact that he is now well versed on many of the new WP3.0 features (whether he wanted to be or not. lol).

I unfortunately didn't have as great of an experience. He seems like a nice guy, but unfortunately he was not able to complete the work that he had promised he would be able to do (and kept promising over weeks and weeks). I had 4 PSDs to be coded, 1 at a time. We never made it through the first one. I was more than lenient on the time frame however he had things arise and kept promising it would get done yet it never did and then I could no longer get a hold of him.
Maybe he simply had too many personal issues come up, I don't know. I did however want to put this in here as I was definitely looking forward to finally finding a good, reliable WP coder and it definitely didn't work out that way.
One thing to note is that he did not have me pay, however it was an absolute waste of my time for weeks.

Fixie is one of the nicest guys I've had the chance to work with. Him and I got off to a bit of a rocky start on an admittedly tricky project I sent over to him, but he was able to bounce back and knock it out of the park on a recent project. Very communicative the whole time, very helpful.
I code wordpress themes all the time and outsource them when I don't have the time to do them myself, and Fixie is the only guy I trust to do the work other than myself. His code is great and he just "gets it" when it comes to the fundamentals of theme coding.
Already lining up a few more sites worth of projects for him.

I honestly cannot reccomend this seller enough, One of the most helpful, Skilled and most pleasant individuals your ever likely to work with.
It might seem i've set the bar a little high with the praise above, but he really is a credit to the forums.

I've used fixie a number of times in the past but I will never go back to him again. I could go back through the last month and a half and count how many times he said he just needed 6 more hours and the project would be done, but that would take a long time.
One time it didn't respond for a week after saying he was almost done with the project. When he did get back in touch he admitted he hadn't even started. For whatever reason I gave him another chance to do the projects. I ended up getting a number of just 6 more hour responses and now he hasn't responded for around a week.
He does good work but is completely unreliable.
