Pulse 360 - Inventory (Yahoo Related)

I don't think there's anything that gets me more upset then knowing you are the target of a clickbot on a campaign and not being able to do anything about it. Steal my landing pages, ad texts, and banners if you want, but using a clickbot on the competition is the lowest you can get. Of course nobody will admit to using one but it's pretty easy to tell when you are being the victim of it and there's only so many other similar ads with top bidding that would have an interest in discouraging you from advertising there.

If something is not done by the major networks about it, it will become more rampant and it has the potential to ruin the networks because there is no network out there that can prevent some of the good clickbots, especially people who have thousands of bots under their command and acquiring more and more daily whether it be from purchasing them or infecting computers themselves through viruses and creating more bots. Maybe the clickbots load the entire page and they have a % of their clickbots actually click on your offer on the landing page to further confuse you after a random interval delay to further switch it up of course. It really is horrible because there is little to no defense against people who know what they are doing from doing this and not getting caught or have it traced back to them in any way.

One solution might be to move to a pay per view system and have us bid that way rather then by the click or at least give us the option, even if we have to pay slightly more for the views then we would have otherwise with clicks because paying per view defeats clickbots entirely since it doesn't matter if they click your ad or not.

Media buys based around views are not affected and that is why a good media buy is always preferable so you don't have to deal with this bullshit, but you need the right amount to get in and even then you have to know what you are doing.

I do have a feeling it will get a lot worse spread across the other networks as well before it gets better or solved but I hope I am wrong.

I signed up to Pulse about 6 months ago and have spent a few hundred K with them.

I've been able to secure some great placement on a couple of the channels and its working out really good.

I've tried to get other placements and have bid as much as 3-4$ a click to try and secure the top 1/2 position and get quickly knocked out even after burning through thousands of dollars.

Pulse seems like a hit or miss.. you can launch a campaign and get great placement with cheap clicks or you can launch a campaign and have to bid out the ass to get any kind of traffic.

I've got a master account and I have setup around 20 different campaigns in order to get a couple that have some great placement at $.75 a click.

Pulse can be a money maker but just like anything else.. you have to be willing to test and you have to be willing to spend more than a couple hundred.

talked to joe today and he reviewed my account, said my cpc was too high and that it should have been lower, told him my rep did everything and my rep approved everything so his rep messed up. Then wanted me to cut my cpc and fund my account and spend more money. Don't think so, he is reviewing it more now I'll keep everyone updated if I get refunded or anything comes of it. I had a 50% bounce rate on a farticle with 50% of users staying on the page from 1-5 seconds. 50% fraud I told him when usually its around 10% bounce at that interval on other networks.

50% bounce on a farticle is pretty good. Unless I am misinterpreting your post?

you can always just go with CPM bidding on networks that offer it and ignore networks that dont

Just got an email from these idiots:

Since your campaign didn't meet the required minimum monthly spend of $10 this month, we’ve deducted money from your account to make up the difference.
Amount spent last month: $0.00 Amount deducted: $10.00
Have fun with that $10.

This. Pulse360 has been good to me but you have to pay to play.

Get a rep to optimize the backend on your campaigns.

why reach out to anyone when you're getting a flood of traffic that never clicks through on your page? they have like 10 "premier" sites on their network. unless you're going on there and just tossing up a RON campaign, it's pretty fuckin' easy to tell where your traffic is coming from.

It's probably more to do with your shitty creatives/adcopy.

i wonder if people run anything other than bizopps or acai on pulse. Thats all ive ever seen
