Why the fuck do you faggots care in what ever the fuck someone believes in as long as it ain't intruding on your fucking ass?

Seriously, I mean I'd understand if you were all liberal fucking totalitarian loving democrats.

But in a forum that seems to be predominately "libertarian" why the fuck do you care so much, you fucking commies.

I think I speak for most atheists/agnostics on this board when I say that none of us really care what you believe in. Do whatever the fuck you want. We just find the concept of religion laughable, and sometimes like to make fun of it.

If anything, religious people are the ones who put their nose in other people's shit and try to "save" us. Like knocking on my door at 10 am on sunday morning asking if I want to talk about jesus.
 
Because dinosaurs were real. And people who don't believe in them are dumb.
 
They are just upset because their lives have no meaning, so they have to attack people who do find meaning in life, and try to destroy them. That's why they are so vile and hateful. It sucks when your entire way of life is a lie.
 
I've lived in three countries and in all of them the main religious organisation (along with unfettered, societal-wide child indoctrination) is able to considerably undermine representational democracy. Religious organisations are allowed to basically turn evidenced, logical debate into emotionally-driven mob rule.

Religious manipulation of social policy, foreign policy and law affects millions of people's lives and it is unreasonable to think that no-one should speak out against it.

I think you should go ahead and speak out about our founding laws being based on the Comandments from the bible. Take to the streets and protest that murder should be legal.

Well as a good Christian, maybe you should, because that is what it says in the bible. Why you're at it, go and get yourself some slaves because that is ok in the bible as well.

Have you actually read the fucking bible? And before you say there is another meaning to the bits that reference that please realize that in the bible it says Gods law is perfect.

So go kill some athiests, Muslims, Mormons, hookers, lying politicians and anyone that works on the sabbath, because if you are not, well you are simply not doing your job properly as a good Christian.

Personally I don't give a shit what you believe but Chianti is right on the money.
 
Religion is super ridiculous and fucked up. However, a theist philosophy != religion. Unfortunately, many outspoken atheists ridicule people because they believe in God. I don't think that's very cool. And in my experience, people that peacefully believe in God that don't align themselves with any particular church are very tolerant of the beliefs of others and probably wouldn't make fun of an individual or a group of individuals because they choose atheism.

Um, if you could show me the quote in the Bible when I'm suppose to kill atheists, Muslims, Mormons, hookers etc...

So let me get this straight....

One atheist offends you, so you attack all of us? Yet we are the ones who are intolerant, wow you've definitely taken the high road here, god would be proud. I don't give a flying shit what you believe. Though, from my experience people who tend to believe in god are usually on the lower echelon of the intelligence scale. Of course there are exceptions. Though, in modern society, anyone who blindly believes in and fears a god of which(whom? lol) their lies no hard evidence of his existence... well to me, that man is a fool and often a sheep. That is my opinion..

It's not that I care what you believe in, this is just a response to your post. I don't attack anyone based on their beliefs unless they attack mine first (which is almost always the case)... this thread.. case in point.

On a side note, there are some theists that I have a profound respect for. They have based their beliefs on reason and at least some logic. 'A Case for the Creation' for example is great book that provides reason and even some evidence that a god could exist. Although fundamentally flawed, that book brings up some great points which are definitely hard to refute.

I don't give a shit, and you can believe whatever you want. It's when I see it drastically affecting world politics that concerns me. When you have very powerful world leaders believing that an invisible man is helping guide them, and tell them what to do, then I get a little unsettled.

When I see churches dumping millions upon millions of dollars into propaganda against some same-sex or abortion bill, because they believe that's the wishes of an invisible man, then I get unsettled.

When I'm walking down the street in Canada, and some lady starts stalking me, and telling me all about God and a new church event they're having, I get pissed off.

When I'm walking around in NE Thailand where it's 99.98% Buddhist, and I see Mormons wandering around the street markets offering "free English lessons", then I get really pissed off. You show up as a guest in a foreign country, and proceed to wander the streets telling everyone their beliefs are wrong, and they should listen to you because your beliefs are better? Get fucked...

Although it can be fun. I remember years ago, and couple [insert religion name here -- can't remember] young guys came to my door to fill me in on this God fellow. I was trying to be polite, but they weren't taking no for an answer, and were quite adamant about "saving" me. So I got irritated, decided to fuck with them a bit, and started hitting on them. Told them they were quite cute in their little uniforms, and how I like guys in uniform, and they should come in for some wine and good music, and to relax and enjoy the day. That fucked them off quite quickly. :)
