Quit my job, shit just got real

I can relate to what you're feeling. A few years ago I quit my job and all my campaigns died. I went from $10k a month profit to nothing. Went through about 10 more failed campaigns until I discovered the berries and changed my life. Whatever shit you're feeling, everyone that has "made it" has gone through it. I rather struggle on my own than be someone's bitch for the next 50 years!

This is a good lesson to learn for motivation... you will experience failures, but all it takes is ONE good offer that you can scale and you can literally save up a year or more worth of income in 1-2 months, which takes the edge off your anxiety and allows you to relax and find more campaigns.

Good luck!

Congrats! Just finished up my second full week of full-time self employment. I've already had a few downs, but it's been mostly ups. Get ready to enjoy the fire under your ass... you may even "instantly grow up" like i kinda did too!

Anyway, looks like you better learn quick. I'll be honest when I say that WickedFire has all the information, services, tools, and mentors to get you profitable.

Pretty similar story here. Had my last day at my 9 - 5 last week. Need to get things going.

I consider people quitting their job without having something that works pretty suicidal.

Maybe I just like walking the safe path, even if that means working 75 hours a week like I did last week between real job and AM.

I'm going to go the other way from everyone, mostly because I'm a risk averse person. With a 3 month runway, I think you should take a week off, and start planning your campaings while looking for work.
This isn't a situation where you've planned out a business and are executing on it. This is a situation where you're off-balance and having to adapt. You're not playing to your strengths and are coming in unprepared/underfunded. Get a job at a smaller company (they appreciate you more), an advertising or affiliate network, or something unrelated (to clear your head). Once you've saved up, then go ahead and quit in order to go through with your plan.

Did you deal with pay per click campaigns?

If you have experience with pay per click pm me. We are looking for a part time contractor to help with our clients. You can work from your house no need to come into a office.

It will probably be about 10 to 20 hours per week so it won't make you rich but it could help fill in the gaps.

So fucking true.

Lucidity,

What is it that you used to do at the Ad Agency? One of my goals is to get into advertising. I am a graphic designer though, so things might be different? Can you give me some insight into how it was like working there and what a typical day looked like. Thanks.

good luck mate... check out this vid... it is motivating... Avoid being broke and stupid... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TjXy2pJXJI&feature=channel"]YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.[/ame]

you quit your job in an industry that averages between 9-11 months for folks to find mid to upper-level jobs in (assuming you've got agency experience w. a portfolio to back it up) with only 3 months breathing room? ouch... good luck.

i use to work in advertising, can agree with you on how hellish it can be, then again... any job can put that same strain on you, it's up to you to not be 'the hero.' Now you have to be because no one else is there to help ya out.

mate dont look at what you did as "i quit my job" well you did quit your job but it is a new beginning and now your free to do what ever you like. and if your good programmer. and can build up php scripts and website you'll be able make money out of it easy. my young brother does that same thing paying for his meds school + living in another country just from building custom scripts and selling them online.

I got about 3 months of savings.

There is your problem. On the bright side, the fear of having to live in a cardboard box should be pretty motivating.

If worst comes to worst, cover your living expenses by contracting.

I moved from my parents place with one month savings. It makes you hustle hard and straight up your priorities fast.

When you know you need to do something there's nothing holding you back.

Good luck man!

My backup backup will be hustling web work to local businesses if all else fails.

Is the way to go, good thing about it is that you can collect a good deposit before you start the work so it can give you some quick cash to survive.

I went part time 2 weeks ago only working 2 days a week, already making a descent income online but still feeling very much concerned about the future... can't imagine how you're feeling now
