24 old MotoGP racer just lost the fight for his life. Died at 24 after a horrible crash in Malaysia.

I just checked out the clip on Youtube and it was weird just seeing his lifeless body on the track.. R.I.P
 
the crash is scary, Edwards hit him at full speed and his body was between Edwards bike and his own one. Neither Edwards nor Rossi could have avoided him in any way at that speed.
 
What a brutal crash, probably would have been ok if his helmet had not come off!! Getting a bit nervous about the Indian F1 next week after this and of course Dan Wheldon in the Indy race. Not a good time for Motorsport, RIP.
 
RIP, can't quite believe it. Haven't seen the incident yet, just read about it. Not sure I want to watch it to be honest.

He was a MotoGP racer. It was a really tragic incident.

Checkout the video and see how Valentino Rossi was almost saved and managed to control the bike.
 
Don't post videos of it for two reasons. One, those of us that watched it happen don't want to see it again - it was horrific. Secondly the governing body DORNA is jumping all over it an getting them put down instanly, and rightfully so. His family and friends don't need to keep revisiting the incident if they go online.

As a bike rider and a massive fan of motorcycling I'm not ashamed to say I wept. We lost a kindred spirit. One who had immense talent and at 24, had his whole life in front of him. It feels surreal knowing that I was in the stands a Phillip Island last week watching this young man do what he loved doing.

The motorcycle world is in mourning and my deepset condolences go to his family and friends. It was heartbreaking to watch his girlfriends reaction when the incident happened. I think she knew straight away. My heart broke for her.

R.I.P. Marco Simoncelli. You will be sorely missed by a lot of people. Four wheels move the body. Two wheels move the soul, and you moved a lot of people with your talent and larger than life persona.

I am sad beyond all comprehension.

It's a sad fact of motorsports and it sucks.

Yeah and if you want to see someone die racing, do me a favor, buy some fireproof clothes and head out onto the track yourself -- fucking jackass.
 
Such a big loss for Racing... I am a big fan of him.

Indeed, racing is such a very dangerous sport. But still we can't stop doing it.

RIP Marco.
