All paid tools. (except for OSE but OSE sucks so..)

What about seo spyglass? Excellent price/quality ratio. Yes, it used to rely on YSE - partly - but the developers claim to have enhanced it with more back link sources Yahoo! Site Explorer shut down: What will happen to backlink checkers after Nov 21? | SEO Blog of Link-Assistant.Com.

Thus, seo spyglass is definitely a great option.

The question is how long will it stay open. It actually has a good chance,maybe since they are moving on to bigger and better things. DEFINITELY worth a couple seconds for placing a link.

I say good riddance. YSE made it too easy for competitors to clone the portions of my backlink profile that came from comments and other "open" pages. There are other resources to get to similar info, but they are either not free, or not as comprehensive. Shutting down YSE might just shut down some of the underfunded and unoriginal competition. W00t.

1. read this great post on YSE alternatives
2. SEO SpyGlass just launched a new backlink database. Access to the database is available in the free version

And the paid version is more than affordable, esp compared to Ahrefs, OSE and Majestic fees
