If you'd feel more at home with a bunch of MLM failures and zero-revenue mommybloggers discussing if h1 and title tags should match with the management chiming in from time to time to relate the amazing secrets they read in in google webmasters help then yes, please build such with your fellow travellers.

Do you mean WF is full of "MLM failures and zero-revenue mommybloggers" or that's what SEOMoz is? Building a rival site doesn't mean you would have to emulate their strategy. I'm talking about filling a void in the space by creating a blog/site that talks about SEO from a different perspective and provides SEO tools that are actually useful. Not saying we should mimic SEOMoz. Although that could be profitable.

A rival site implies it would cater to the mommyblogger/mlm failure crowd that seomoz caters to. A different perspective and SEO tools that are actually useful is pretty much covered by wickedfire.

There's bound to be a few fellow spammers there surely lol. I do have a few whitehat projects on the go so these conferences can be good for that kinda stuff. Promised myself I would get to more conferences/parties in London this year as well.
