just came here to post this... I gotta admit I'm pretty disappointed he did this. I understand he is positioning himself politically, but he's still selling out. I really hope RP doesn't come out and support Romney too.

you have to admit it was a clever strategy.
the paul campaign rounded up all the growing mass of far-right/patriot/gold bug/conspiracy/tea party/austrian types and put a big fat bow on it and gave it the romney campaign.
there has always been murmers of co-operation between the paul and romney camps and this news pretty much confirms it.

He's probably trying to raise his profile among the republican establishment for a run in 2016 or 2020. Maybe in exchange for this he gets a speaker spot at the national convention.

In in kissy face interview with Mark Levin, Levin asked "Since your father isn't running anymore, who are you going to support?" Instead of immediately pointing out that his is father IS running, Rand mentioned his meeting with Romney and said he was the kind of candidate Americans would support because he "can balance a checkbook." He had every chance to correct the record and refused to do so. Amazing.
