On a related note, buy a "squatty potty" (or make your own).

It allows for an easier evacuation of the bowel. If you've never used one - or have never visited Asia - you might be surprised by the difference it makes.

All the internet's knowledge is eventually condensed to bitcoin, squat pooping and one weird trick.

I've used a squatty potty for over a year. I can say with conviction that, relative to me, most people are full of shit. :)

How to be young forever:

1. Don't forget to moisturize, especially your face.

2. Laying down/sleeping often is good not only because you are resting but also because you are horizontal and therefore gravity does not have the same effect on your face.

3. Working from home is great because most of your time is spent on the computer, not emoting. People with regular jobs have to fake smiles and other various facial expressions all day long. All of those smiles add up and soon you look like Steve Buscemi.

4. Have sex with young women (18-24). Youth transfers this way.

You're welcome.

Meditation: your single source for improved clarity, health, emotion and.. well most things really.

5mins in the morning and 5mins at night is a good start.

If you aren't happy with your current situation, don't place the blame on outside forces (government, taxes, google, your wife, your job, etc, etc). That removes all the power from you.

Take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for every action/result in your life and you will become empowered.

When you stop blaming everything else or everyone else, suddenly the ability to make your reality exactly the way you want it is in the palm of your hand!

If you want things to change, you need to change. Period!

I've never tried weed. So if you have any tips about different strains, how to roll, which wines to pair, or the best ways to experience it (smoke, eat, etc.), post 'em! :)
Not sure about wines, but definitely some tasty food, whichever you like best. Snacks are always good too. Start with a Sativa first, preferably, and pick the strain based on characteristics from Leafly. I'd recommend a bubbler (~£10 here), with a very small amount to start, hold it in for 10 seconds, then exhale slowly. Wait 5 minutes, if you're feeling happy, euphoric, etc, stop - else have another. Repeating what I said in the LSD thread a bit, but broken down a bit more.

For rolling - depends if you smoke. I smoke, and almost solely smoke rolling tobacco. I learned to roll by getting some teabags, emptying them out, and trying to roll them into cigarettes (using storebought cigarette filters, extra slim). The fineness and dryness of the tea makes it much harder, and will make you a much better roller. If you smoke, once you can consistently roll tea cigarettes, start smoking rolling tobacco instead of normal cigarettes, it'll help fix any minor issues you have.

I really love Self Control because you can't bypass it, even deleting the app or restarting won't help.
Everybody wastes so much time on these sites without really noticing it and at the end of the day everybody is like 'omfg I'm so stressed out, ain't nobody got time for dat'.

I've been using the timer this morning, so it's definitely working on my end. (Incidentally, javascript needs to be turned on for it to work.)

Good tip about the country time. Looks like it works for cities too.

Another G feature I use: "define [word]" - ex. "define convalescent." Gives the definition, along with synonyms and antonyms. Pretty useful for a dummy like me.

Get the dictionary.com plugin for firefox/chrome. Double click a word to define it via a pop-up/tool tip.

Would install this ahead of adblock, probably. Same reason the Kindle makes reading a normal book too difficult these days.

It's called "Dictionary Extension" current version 3.0.12.1. Logo is a blue D.

Meat tip:

If you have a slow cooker, buy a few pounds of chuck steak for it. The great thing about chuck is that it falls apart in the slow cooker. No other cut of beef does that. By the time it comes out, it's perfect for throwing in salads (I prefer meat and white rice).

Here's what I do...

- bring the chuck home, cut it into 1-inch pieces and let it marinate overnight.
- sear it for flavoring
- toss it into the slow cooker. Set on low for 7 hours.
- take it out, shred it and put it into containers.

A great thing about a slow cooker is that it breaks down fat, ligaments, connective tissue, etc. All that stuff is ready to eat. No hard gristle that you have to chew like gum.

Side tip: if you're cleaning up a steak or trimming fat and connective tissue off a cut for beef jerky, set the trimmings aside for the slow cooker. Toss it in with the chuck. That stuff is delicious!

Sour Diesel and a good Sauvignon Blanc (New Zealand produces some of the best I've had but unfortunately I'm blanking on the name of the wineries right now) - I'm not even fucking around in the slightest.

LPTs:

-Track your time aggressively, even for non-work stuff.
-Take the time to sit down and analyze this shit or you're just wasting more of your time than you were before. In general you should take the time to sit down, step back and analyze the things you do and why you do them. You can save yourself a lot of grief in life this way. Don't let yourself just "Be", we're not fuckin' dolphins.

-Have rough sex

-Plan your meals if you struggle to eat healthily or stick to some form of diet on your own. It makes grocery shopping much easier too if you're eating largely from a template each week. Having a grocery list app that lets you set "common items" will save you headaches at the grocery store.

Yoga/stretching before bed = better sleep

Music can make the most boring or unbearable task doable. I used to work outdoors for 6 to 8 hours daily through cold, Canadian winters, and the only thing that kept me going was listening to music or stand up comedy on my iPod. Whenever there is something that I don't feel like doing (dishes, laundry, outdoor work) I grab my iPod.
