Yeah what a big surprise right well I'm ranked in 1st on yahoo for a term with 39,300,000 other pages, not bad but I know it doesn't mean all that much.

Just thought I'd shoot the shit and ask what is the most amount of competing pages you've been ranked #1 for.

283,000

haha you can tell i'm not an SEO guy

haha are you serious you need advice bad start asking might as well make some use out of this thread.

"Ceiling Fan" was my best.

Was #3 for "Barbeque" for a while, until we realized we were bleeding 1/2 our traffic to "Barbecue" and everything got fuct up.

So 4,680,000?

Where is Eli he's got to have some good pages ranked somewhere lol.

Not one of my best, but definitely one of my favorites...

I'm #14 on Google for keyword 'jon'... [SIZE=-1]Jon Favreau on IMDb is #13. I used to be on the first page, but all of my counter-rankings stuff took my name keyword down a few notches along with the other keywords. Ah well, I'll get it back up there again. Nothing rocks more than ranking for your name when it's only 3char.

Probably about 15mill but that one only sends about 400/day, i have #2 in google and #3 in yahoo for a term which sends me 1,300/day, although overture has it at getting more than 9,000+ searches a day so shows you how inaccurate that is.
First page ranking in yahoo is normally shit, its fairly shit in google until you get in top 3, that 1,300/day term i have in #5 sent just 200-300/day.

1,250,000 for two word "buy keyword" and 1-5 for many other similiar keywords along with "buy "model keyword".

A great feeling knowing you cant get any higher. Affiliate conversions have been so much better as well since going from 3 to 1.

Thats in google, msn and yahoo mind you. And i owe it all to this forum, the services, and advice in here to tell the truth.

had 6/10 on the first page for Cash Advance on Google and 4/10 for Payday Loans :)

Really the number of results doesn't mean that much. There's some very hard terms with not that many results and very easy terms with 10's of millions. Personally I don't think results is a good judge of difficulty.

I want to get into SEO, but hate how much long term work is involved. That's why I prefer PPC's short term quick traffic, but it isn't working as well as I would like. So, seems I have to get into SEO. I could purchase backlinks, but hell if I know how I would get inbound links. Damned if I'm going to try to contact these fucks myself.
