Real Life Vs AM Life

With the hotel the left side looks worse by comparison, but on it's own I would think that's a decent area. It's not run down or anything, the roofs just aren't homogeneous shingles.

actually that building reminded me alot of the one I lived in when I was in Singapore. Minus the really cool spiraling pools on the porch:

Yeah that picture is crazy. I don't think I would buy/rent an expensive condo/apartment right next to the slums, if crime goes up then your property value is shit.

When it comes to real vs am life... I don't get one think. Why do my 9-5 working friends think better of themselves because they have a "real" job, as they claim it?

It was a late Sunday night and we were heading for home by foot. A couple of my friends started whining they have to get up at 7:30 to make it to work on time. And they asked me what hour I get up and I told I wake up when I feel like it. And one of them said "you don't know what having a real job is all about".

So I said "Fuck you, I make triple your salary"; to which he replied "Yeah, selling snake oil".

I was baffled and didn't really know what to reply next so I just gave him the cold shoulder.

Truth is I never worked a 9-5 job, but never had money problems.

Is he just jealous? Anyone ever encountered a similar situation?

It's tough getting people to understand. I wouldn't expect them to understand unless you really made an effort to explain. Most people just think I'm a lazy bum sitting at home, making easy money.
