I need a virtual phone number to forward to my cell. Need it to be an out of state number. Anyone have a recommendation?

I've been using Grandcentral/Google Voice for like 3-4 years now and I will never pay for phone service again (unless they start charging).
You can't get an invite from users, but I saw something the other day where people were calling Google's VM and leaving funny messages and getting invites that way.

you should just get a home phone and when you gone you can have it forward to your cell. Hell you can even remote forward it if you forgot and your out and about. the phone forwarders alot of time want to charge by the minute
