Recommend a hosting plan for me

Right now I have a shared hosting account for every one of my sites, which is just a huge pain in the ass. So I'm thinking of getting a more robust hosting plan and keeping them all in the same place.

What/who would you recommend? Reseller? VPS?

I don't want to spend an arm and a leg, I'm not doing anything that would require a dedicated server. Would hostgator's reseller package be good for me?
 


PowerVPS is the only way to go. Been with them for about year and half and not a single blip -- and love their support.
 
Dedicated comes cheap these days, and pwns VPS. If you have one asswad on another VPS on the same box using crazy amounts of CPU or Disk, your VPS will feel it.

ServerPronto and ServerBeach both have great pricing on dedicated. Requires a little Linux knowledge though to get them set up. Managed is also available but usually quite a bit more.
 
Since you aren't driving a ton of traffic to your sites the Hostgator reseller would probably be fine for you.

For an excellent VPS or dedicated, fully managed server I'd go with Liquidweb.com

You can find some good discounts on their VPS1 service over at Webhostingtalk.com starting at $50 a month.
 
I'm happy with Liquid Web too...

Anyway I don't know how many domains you have (and shared hosting accounts) but I wouldn't move all the domains to the VPS in one step... :)
