Recommend Me a Teeth Whitening Product

If you check with a few dentists, some of them will have a 'Free Teeth Whitening' with first regular cleaning/X-rays offer. For that they will make custom trays and give you all the stuff you need.

How many shades can zoom do? Just wondering.. about to get mine whitened and zoom is at the top of the list.

I'm not sure on how many shades they can do max, I know mine were about 5-6 shades brighter afterwards and it took an hour. My teeth were not that bad when I had it done, I was not a heavy coffee drinker or other types of drinks that stain easy, I smoked for a few years but not like some others. If your teeth are stained darker because of those types of things I'm sure you would see excellent results.

I see people talking about custom trays and those can work too, when you have the zoom done, they give you custom trays as part of the procedure. Then you could go back and get the prescription gel and use that for touch ups later.

Crest white strips with 6-10% hydrogen peroxide do work and is equally as effective as products like opalescence teeth whitening gel's at 20-30% carbamide peroxide over a 12 week (3 month period). However, if you are looking for quicker results, then over a 14 day period the 20-30% carbamide peroxide will whiten your teeth faster.

Really it comes down to how quickly you want results and considering the pro's and con's of each. Teeth whitening gel's work quicker, but in higher concentrations can cause gum irritation in some users, and you either need to send out to have a mold made or use a per-forming mold you dip in boiling water. The Crest white strips on the other hand, will not irritate your gums, but your have to wear them a longer time to see the same results and putting them on your teeth and wearing them around for extended periods of time can be uncomfortable.

Personally I have tried both methods, and really didn't like the Crest white strips since results seemed to take a lot longer and getting the strips centered on your teeth and wearing them around, was irritating (you could always feel this film on your teeth).

Before doing anything, try Oil Pulling. (With either coconut or sesame oil)

It's an ancient natural ayurvedic technique used for thousands of years by yogis.

It did work for me, and not just for teeth whitening but for general health. The benefits I've noticed are:

- Whiter teeth
- Kills cavities before they develop
- Clears up skin

One thing though: you gotta do it every morning for at least 4 weeks to see the benefits.

Interesting... But seriously, who the fuck wants to swish around oil in their mouth for 20 minutes every morning??

^you don't need to do it for 20 mins. 10 mins is enough. I do it while I check my emails in the morning. Goes by real quick trust me. The benefits are there. We have a lot to learn from over 5,000 years of medical history coming from the far east.
