I have the harmony One and two Harmony 1000s, I never use the 1000s, they just sit in a drawer. The One is easier to use and more rugged. The 1000 is too delicate. They both have the same functionality. Plus, The Harmony One is much, much cheaper.

It appeals to my gadget geek side and can control everything i have. Kinda sucks it doesn't have rf, but of all the gadgets in my house i can't think of one besides the xbox that uses rf and it still controls the xbox's.
The roommate in question is actually really cool. He's my best friend. He is mr super competitive though in every way there is to be competitive for and then some that aren't. Sometimes I just have to vent about it cus he can take it waaay too far. I won't even get into the story of the time i bought a car lol. I happen to be the only person he knows that makes more money then him and has a better job so he particularly targets me in his competitive endeavors and yes it drives him up the wall that i'm self employed and he's not. It's like every single month that he has a new business scheme that's going to make him a millionaire yet at the same time he wouldn't have to sacrifice any of his current pay or take any risks just as long as he can find someone to front him the half a mill or so he'll need in startup capital. haha. I don't dislike him for it. I love it actually and its definitely entertaining. Plus its always fun to do business scheming with someone who is super excited about it. Regardless of if it's a realistic endevour.
